I generally like the movies where an underdog works his/her way up. Their journey is very fascinating and usually riveting. Blind Side was a bit superficial for my tastes. I was expecting a lot more hard hitting drama. Something like Kurt Russell's "Miracle" or Denzel Washington's "Remember the Titans" - those movies were truly WOW IMO.

Anyways, to each their own....I frankly LOVED the movie....it made me emotional in many bits....Sandra was fantastic and so was the guy who played Michael....in fact the entire cast was fab in my opinion.

@Nimrah: LOL yeah I read the SGP update....sounds amusing.....I'm yet to watch it though....I guess baad mein chance lagega....

LOL Anu .. I knew you'd say that Miracle/RTT were different genres ... I just gave them as examples to talk about the hard hitting drama aspect. I know that this wasn't a sports movie where the underdog performs in the end. And yes I know that this is a real life story. And YET I found it superficial. Why? Because they focused only on how everyone easily accepted Michael into their lives without resistance. His teachers accepted an ONLY black student with below average IQ into their classrooms without much ado. I know there is niceness in the world - but not so much. I was expecting to see some more racism like RTT. And how Sandra deals with that aspect as well ... Yet I did like the movie overall, if it still makes sense. I didn't absolutely hate it, neither was I absolutely fascinated with it.

Anyhoo, like you said to each his own.

Edit: I just read the SGP update. Sounds like a fun episode. I want to see the scene where Ishaan talks to the teddy. How cute is that? Poor guy is asking the teddy if Suhana likes him??? Awww .... *pulls Ishaan's cheeks*

Edited again: Btw, I also saw Manoj Bohra's VM as Prem. Although I didn't watch KZK as much, I did watch all the Prem-Mukti clips uploaded on YT. I must say MB was truly stylish as Prem/Yudi ... He made people both love him/hate him ... he was the perfectly adorable bad boy. No wonder Mukti could never get him out of her system.

LadyM, I think the issue is with what you were expecting.....you were expecting some larger than life drama like there was in Miracle etc....which there wasn't in The Blind Side....I dunno if you've seen interviews of the actual family that this movie is based on...I have and maybe you don't want to believe that niceness of that sort can exist in the world but I do....the real woman is even more dynamic than the character Sandra played in the movie.....

btw the teachers accepted him into the school cuz of the sports issue....are you not aware of how many black athletes get into colleges only on the basis of their athletic ability?? You actually find this unrealistic?? LOL no offence LadyM but I think you're out of the loop here somewhat....I remember many examples from my own college which had a very famous football program...that wasn't about racism....and they DID show racism yet in more understated terms....guess it wasn't your cup of tea....

Anyways, can we drop this topic....obviously we are not going to see eye to eye.

@ bold...LOL.....I NEVER find him adorable...For some reason I could never associate the term 'adorable' with Prem or MB...

And I watched todays SGP...Inder and Elesh were verryy funny today. Their scene and some dialogues with Ishan and the girls were hilarious...I just don't like Ishan's scene with the teddy bear...Weird!

Nimrah...Yes, Ishan was cute in the scene. Infact it was hard to judge who was cuter Ishan or the teddy...BUT the way he was talking to the teddy was weird...and a bit idiotic for my sensibility...
