I remain

Standing on the edge of reason
Not understanding, what's going on
My feelings... are all mixed up
Confused with all the hurt, and pain
Still I don't know why, I remain

Staring out, into nothing
Not really seeing, what's there
Trying... to comprehend
Everything I'm feeling

I don't know why, I remain
Still here, looking in
Into my past
Ignoring, everything else...

I don't know why, I remain
Still here, looking in...

Dying, on the inside
How is it, that I'm still alive?
I walk, yes, I talk
I talk, yes, I walk..
Wandering... without a clue

Still I don't know, why I remain
Still here, looking in
Into my past
Ignoring, everything else...

Hoping... hoping on a lie
Not believing, what is real
Trying to feel more
And just clear the air!!

I know, I know... I remain
Still here, looking in
From the outside,
From the outside...
I'm-still-looking-in.

Hi all😊

In Andhra present discussion was going on a particular kids reality show AATA.
State Human Rights Commission has received complaint from one of the Social Welfare Organizations against this dance reality show for showing children in most obscene dances on club songs, item songs.
As a viewer of some episodes i really appreciate this act.
In every episode end they show kids and parents crying for getting elimination.
Most of the kids talk beyond their age which really bothers me.
I love competitive spirit among the kids but not this way.
In personal i am a mom of 2yrs old(that's the main reason for my inactiveness in this form😉)
And i will never allow my kid to watch this type of shows for the fear of her acting beyond her age😲

@ Rw- Wow you're great, I love your poems(though I didn't read the first one, thanks to your note)

@ Amyria- That show is totally messed up, a lot of shows are doing that to kids:( making them mature when they should be out and playing. For example: young girls in music shows wearing tons of makeup, it's unnecessary and making them look older than they are.

I wish the show gets banned though, this one's horrible.

Hmmm, but such shows are so much prevalent in India. I think the kids should just be kids. Some parents push their kids too hard, because it can be a good source of income. It's important to let the kids be kids. We need more awareness for the parents of kids participating in such shows. It should be discouraged, IMO.

It is true censorship is a moot point in India, either we over do it or don't do it at all.
but you know what the odd thing is I f I hadn't come to the US,I wouldn't have noticed much stuff.
Staying outside India teaches you to be politically correct. Now I see blatant prejudice and bias in fair and lovely ads.

I notice how politically incorrect some of our movies are, things I wouldn't have realized before.
and kids are maturing way faster than in our time...so much information is accessible freely, how do you control it.
The bullying in US school disturbs me ,but the competition in India gives me nightmares,I mean parents compete through their kids, they are pushing them into more and more activities..

and kids reality shows...less said the better.

If I had to choose, I'd actually choose the system in India. Whatever happens in the US school gives me nightmares about raising kids here. Though, the competition is cut throat back in India, but kids still get to do things which kids do. Some parents do go to all extremes, so I wouldn't want to do that either. I don't particularly like the system here. I prefer the schooling back home, or if you can afford it here, at private schools. Public school system here gives me nightmares to be honest. The stories of bullying, etc. does not help.
Someone I know got beat up in their high school for a stupid issue over parking place. Poor kid has still got back problems, because one of the guys hit him with a pole.

They have to study all day.

How many kids actually end up having a proper education here? The drop out rate is unbelievably high. It depends a lot on the parents as well. I don't find the US edcuational system good, at least in the public schooling system.
Yeah, he does. Nothing happened to that other person. They scarpered and threatened him not to go to the police. His parents did not want any more trouble, so they didn't go to the police either. If they had, it would have caused further problems for him and his family. He's one of my uncle's (not my real one, but you know how all our dad's friends are uncles, LOL) kid. He's in uni now too.
In India, it depends. I spend quite a few hours in playing, but I used to study too. We had a fixed timetable, LOL. I dunno, I find that some discipline is important to have. 😳😳
