Don't know JG --- but there's a TV show in my country which proposes a complete documentary every week about french serial killers or murderers -- It's kinda frightening......And they are real life court cases....
Interesting!
It's done now -- but there were at least 60 episodes...

Actually my first languages are my local language (French Creole) and french --- so yes your assumption is correct - I'm a fluent french speaker...........
It took me almost 10 years to be at ease with english on the internet and more to be at ease during a real life discussion.....
I watch and listen english programs a lot - I have to re watch and to re listen a lot to get the accent and some words too.....
Happy to know that people use french words without realizing it lol...

Thanks for the invite, Lilly!
Very much interested! Count me in!
Being an ex-student of literature and a lifelong lover of books, Oscar Wilde has always been an evergreen favorite! Not just prolific and pathbreaking as an author, he was also a rebel in every sense of the word! The picture of Dorian Grey and The importance of being Earnest are not just his best works, but also amongst the best of his times!
But what makes him stand out for me are his memorable one-liners and quotations and some of his less-read poems!
Looking forward to joining in with the discussions!
Poppy
PS: When I was in my late tweens, we only had the ubiquitous Doordarshan...and one of my best memories of those years is watching 'Wonder Years' which used to be aired once in a week...I don't think its even possible to put in words, the manner in which, I and a lot of my friends were influenced by that wonderful television series! Wonder Years was one of the few 'American / English' programmes to be shown on television those days and nothing fascinated me more than seeing that American teenagers were, well...just like Indian teenagers...only with better clothes and houses! 😆

Thanks for the invite Lili. Would love to participate more...but right now I'm looking forward to some back-breaking exams/interviews and figuring out what I'm doing next year after I graduate. So I won't be active much on IF or here.

Anyway, thanks again!

Thanks a lot for the invite! I'll very much like to participate.

I have to say Oscar Wilde is one of my favorite people to ever exist. I love quoting him and I admire him not only for his work but for the person he was.
