Mohit ji had asked all members to cast their votes to decide which book we'll be all reading. It's a bit late now, I suppose, because last I did check, Long Way Down had 4 votes, while Three Cups of Tea has three votes (including mine). 😃

I suppose we'll read that next after this one. Since RW ji has already started reading it, it would be unfair to change it again. 😃

Aladin ji I am done with a long way down ..I can actually have A PAYALI OF CHAI NOW😛.
I wonder though what we will discuss about long way down or for that matter three cups of tea in 150 pages.
Can't we do two books per CC

I was being honest. I have never used such expletives in my entire life and don't think I ever will. You have no idea how many people I have reprimanded for using them in front of me. I do give these looks and most of them end up apologizing on their own. 😆 I'm with RW ji on this. Actually, the only swear words that I do end up using are sh** and damn. Even those, I don't use anymore. 😃

Well, Aladin ji... I also have a very puritan manner of rebuking, to the point that I don't even use sh*t, or cr*p... I do use bit*h rather frequently though, but that is probably my only sin.
What I wanted to say however was that there are people who use the expletives, and others who don't. Of the 4 protagonists in the book, one of them doesn't. And she'll be rebuking those who do... ("We haven't all been raised in a pig-sty", she tells the others.)
Literature and drama have to reflect elements of reality. Expletives are as real as any other word of anger or endearment; and thus they are legitmately used in the text... especially the F-word and the C-word, which are rather liberally used; and are used even popular in Germany (where English is supposedly poor)...

Do read the poems... They're all very nice... 😃

Let us see how it goes with A Long Way Down... I think that it has enough for 150 pages; but if we are struggling at the 75th page, then of course, we can start the second book too... (I think that a slow pace, forced at 150 pages will be sufficient even for the slow readers...)

Uh... and Smita ji, you read the book? Did you dislike it??

😆😆 Yes, but RW ji is reading it currently, so I wouldn't want it to be unfair, considering the fact that I might not even read the books. 😡😆😆

Fair point, Mohit ji, but I just won't be able to enjoy it the same. I just don't have enough incentives to read it. Though, I did read about a 100 pages of HP yesterday. That too, because I had other things to do. I did finish it within a day when I first got the book. 😆😆😆😆 They are too addictive. 😳😳
