for me the most disappointing moment was the conversation b/w Arfeen and his friend Shujah ..... what Shujag said that Mahrush won't prove to be a good wife and all his reasonings for this, i was like what the hell? they dont ahve to shw Mahrush as ultra-mod so bad person or whatever .... i mean a woman can be modern and still prove to be a good wife or mother ...... we know that Mahrush and Arfeen will be married ... thats pretty clear nw ... and we knw that she and Arfeen wd eventually have a seperation or a divorce but do they have to justify that by showing Mahrush as ... i dont know .... improper? i mean they had such a wonderful oppurtunity for showing that a person can wear jeans and still be "parsaa" but instead they seeemed to ahve taken a completely different route in that conversation .... and they completely butchered what i had pictured Mahrush to be ... judging from the earlier episodes ....
i also found the expressions to be OTP as far as Saba's husband, MIL and those neighbors r concerned ... i know all of this is real .... the irritating neighbors and all ...... but it was often more of a case of overacting. i think i was also disappointed perhaps because i was misled by the title song vdo .... in it they showed this man which i assumed wd be saba's husband ... i really like that actor... i suppose he has some other role in the serial but man when her husband entered the scene and the way he smiled i cringed ....
Arfeen's family ... the mother she was so smug urghh!!! no character development so far ... i guess that wd come in later but judging from the precap the younger sister will be getting her comeuppance yeeaahhh (horrible of me i know but still)
the good points of the episode were obviously the acting ...
Saba was incredible .... its like she has become stronger as her life fell apart .. its like u said sam... she knws she was wronged but instead of acting like a self-sacrificing person she is going abt the motions of living .... i mean in that scene when her husband criticized the way she had washed his clothes ... tht whole scene..she didnt cry or anything .. she simply did what she was supposed to do ... no fuss at all
Adil meanwhile is my hero .... he is still not giving up .. he knws what his taima is like and what he said .. the reasons for the Hajj and how she was still not repentant ... it was a very good scene ... good dialogues and great acting..... i hope when the big revelation comes wd Adil b like 'i told u so' .... he probably wont laikin umeed karne mein kia jaata hai?
in the episode they ahve covered alot of necessary ground i guess .... all this is important before the big revelation and all but i dont knw i still feel like they cd have done things differently ... but i guess in every serial they'll have there down moments ...... now lets see what they dish out to us next week
