Har khushi Hai Logon Ke Daman Mein,
Par Ek Hansi Ke Liye Waqt Nahi.
Din Raat Daudti Duniya Mein,
Zindagi Ke Liye Hi Waqt Nahi.

Maa Ki Loree Ka Ehsaas To Hai,
Par Maa Ko Maa Kehne Ka Waqt Nahi.
Saare Rishton Ko To Hum Maar Chuke,
Ab Unhe Dafnane Ka Bhi Waqt Nahi.

Saare Naam Mobile Mein Hain,
Par Dosti Ke Lye Waqt Nahi.
Gairon Ki Kya Baat Karen,
Jab Apno Ke Liye Hi Waqt Nahi.

Aankhon Me Hai Neend Badee,
Par Sone Ka Waqt Nahi.
Dil Hai Ghamon Se Bhara Hua,
Par Rone Ka Bhi Waqt Nahi .

Paison ki Daud Me Aise Daude,
Ki Thakne ka Bhi Waqt Nahi.
Paraye Ehsason Ki Kya Kadr Karein,
Jab Apane Sapno Ke Liye Hi Waqt Nahi.

Tu Hi Bata E Zindagi,
Iss Zindagi Ka Kya Hoga,
Ki Har Pal Marne Walon Ko,
Jeene Ke Liye Bhi Waqt Nahi.......

i will tell u a small incident .....

when i was in university, he used to be a professor there, , one day i went to his house for first time with my aunt who had come from canada, and she is good friends with him....somehow topic started to be a song which had been aired a night before on tv....apparently singer was this poet's cousin so he said singer sings very well , and he is my cousin...but i kept insisting uncle wo chodo but what wordings......kitni achi kavita thee...wo us pe kuch nahi bole..

uske baad..he gave me a cassette of that singer , and when i saw lyrics it said surjit pattar....I was so humbled that he did not even say with his own mouth ke he is writerof the song, when i was praising the writer unknowingly....that was the day he touched my life so lovingly....may god keep him in excellent health.....

recently i read one of his poem....

main raahaan te nahi turda..

main turda haan te raah bande ne

(main raaste pe nahi chalta..

main chalta hoon to raasta banta hai)

yugaan tak kafile aunde..

mere sach de gavah bande

(yugon se chale aa rahe kafile hi meri sachai ka pramaan hain)

for u am posting the poem in his recital..try to see if u can understand..skepy ur test on punjabi language...tum ko punjabi to sikha hi doongi😉

khud main begali seekh rahi hoon..tagi tagore ki geetanjali main usi ki zabaan mein padh sakoon..

Since Tagore was a prolific writer in English I am glad to read his works in English itself. I am a gone case sakhi......

tagore ka bhakt mujhe banaya poet ne..she introduced me to magic of his bengali songs, us se pehle i read geetanjli and some of his other work.....in english, pata nahi why skep..i always get pulled towards bengali...i love lyrics and music of the language....

and yes incident i narrated though small had huge impact on me.....infact when i made gavie's fan club i used two lines from that song..

they were..

kal suraj pher chadega shehr wich..

sajna ne kholiyaan je baariyaan(khidkiyaan)

u remeber u wrote a english kavita on those 2 lines too....
