My most favourite film of 2009! A full on entertainer! I felt like I was a kid again and back in the 90s lol it was
that type of film, with all the ingredients of a 90s entertainer I've been feeling really blahhh for months now and the couple of hrs I was watching APKGK I forgot about everything else in life and I just felt so.. HAPPPY! It's truly the type of movie people should watch in a "Happy club" loll
The comedy is AWEESOME! Music is PERFECT! Everything about the film is just so good! I've always liked Andaaz Apna Apna and I'd actually say APKGK is a step ahead of that even!
RANBIR KAPOOR!!!!!! HE IS PERFECT! HE'S THE BEST! On Monday it will be 2 yrs since he debuted and each and every movie of his that releases makes me so proud..he's such a mindblowingly natural performer! When you watch Ranbir onscreen, you know you're watching someone who's so happy doing the job he does, someone who's passionate about the art of filmmaking/acting and not someone who's there for the quick fame/money. He's just so good, I don't know what I can say about him because nothing I say can be enough - the guy was BORN to act and it's an honour to be born in a generation who can watch each of his films in the cinema, because each time he makes buying that cinema ticket 100% worth it! Just as all his other films lol once again Ranbir Kapoor carries the film entirely on his shoulders and DAMNN does he succeed or does he succeed! Almost exactly 2 yrs ago, in Saawariya, Rani's character said to him.."Superstar bannega tu" and I knew it was true the minute I heard it and today while watching Ajab, I felt so weirdly emotional lol because that day is here - he is a SUPERSTARR!
Katrina was sweet! She acted good in parts and not so good in other parts. It must've been difficult for her to be working with a costar who's such a natural actor, but she did a fair job. Her expressions were quite good on the whole but the dialogue delivery was emotionless and that really pulls her performance down. Nonetheless, her chemistry with Ranbir is soooooooooo outstanding that I couldn't have wished for another actress in the role!
The film had so many amazing moments....HIGHLY RECOMMENDED to all Ranbir Kapoor fans, all Andaaz Apna Apna fans and just about anyone who wants a good time!
Overall as a movie I'd give it around maybe 7/10 but in terms of entertainment value 10+/10!!!!!
