No, it was done for two simple words ' TO BEG. The desperate mother deliberately caused the child to be handicapped so that the child can go out to the streets to beg. I cannot accept how this could happen, but it really did, just in another part of the world which we don't see.

We cannot end poverty on earth, but we can at least make a start by giving a few children the opportunity to have a better future where they can "Earn, Not Beg!".

What a dire poverty that lady mustve been in , that she had to take such extreme step . I feel ashamed of myself sometimes, that I live in a world which has another side, where ppl are so poor that they have no option but to take these extreme steps and I sit in this AC room cool and relaxed.

Recently, I think free school education has become a law. Read it couple of months back, need to check that out again and see its status. And, Indian politicians rather than ensuring that every kid goes to school are busy increasing quotas in higher education.

Who will avail of that quota when the kids are not there in schools. And, teachers rarely attend government schools in interiors, they show their faces once in a while and then just go to take their salary.

I know , I feel helpless for one reason, Iam here and I dont know how to help kids in India. One way is sposer children,but the way ppl are corrupt , I really doubt if they are used for the right cause. Last month, on my dad's death anniversary, I sent money thru my bro to one of the old age homes and u know they were claiming they have around 50 old ppl at their ashram but only three were there in that place. Ppl try to earn in every possible way Mehr. This is not the first time I saw this happening. How do I make sure the help I want to do reaches the right ppl?. I want someone reliable to tell me that yes ur hard earned money is used for the right cause not for filling the pockets of some moeny-chusing-parasites.
