Heyyy Soniaaa! Do you plan on using the metro when it starts??? I've been having a ball figuring out routes to City Centre and Karama and Dubai Mall, etc, etc. 😆

LOL Nims... Actually you might find this hard to believe but I had NO idea that the metro was opening on 09/09/09 until I heard you mentioning it here and then asked my sister to confirm it 😆...

Seriousllly ofcourse I'm planning to use the Metro! I'm kind of really excited! 😃 But I wont go first-day-first-show for it, you know? Wanna see how everyone likes it and stuff... Ooh its gonna be so funnn! Especially since its an absolute TORTURE to drive in Dubai in all the traffic! 🤢 And plus I haven't yet acquired my driver's license... Hehe! 😆

@Sonia: I've had my license for more than a year now, but my mom is such a horror to drive with!!! I haven't driven in more than 5 months now. Ugh, so much jhanjhat. I hate driving. Why drive when you can just sleep, listening to the radio...??? Normally I would take the buses, but can't wait in this heat for the damn irregular buses. I hate Dubai Muncipality buses.... 10 of them come at the same time, and then for the next 2 hours you can't find one. Ugh. I'm planning to use the metro a lot so I can go out without bugging mom for a ride/getting felt up & having ppl look down my shirt in the buses!!!!!!!

You can choose the satellite view (if you've used Google Earth, you should get an idea of how it is, and how to find your place... I get a totalllll kick outta seeing my bldg on Google earth!!!!) and find the station closest to you LOL, since noone here knows the names of roadsss... Badi mushkil se I had to figure out which my road was...).... So you can enter that station and the destination, and they'll show you the route and the time it takes... It's all pretty awesome! GOD, SO EXCITED!

Now go open that new CC! Chop chop!
