Psych isn't too bad. To be honest, I did not take it in high school either, Zainu. But I loved it. I can't major in it, but I have been able to take a few courses, as it is part of the requirements for the program I want to get into.

May this birthday be just the beginning of a year filled with happy memories, wonderful moments and shining dreams
happy birthday nimmi
🤗

Okay, Kanu. I am glad you are back as I am replying to everyone's wonderful wishes to me on my b-day while I am here as the same time they are. So hi there, Kanu.😃

Kanika, thank you for the wonderful thoughts. Usually, I have to leave right as you go on. But I have to say that you are one of the most sweet IC'ers. I said that when I was COTW and stil hold that opinion even if Mayur babes in MJHT forum disagree.😆😉 And I have really enjoyed talking about rom-coms, old Hindi movies, and Veronica Mars in our short time and even law and driving, teehee.

awwww nimmi that really is sooooo sweet of u ya 🤗🤗
n yeah thanks to the crazy time difference v never get to hang around much

But I am back. Zainab, usually, bio is the most common major, but you can do chemistry or really anything as long as you do the med school requirements. One of my best friends is actually in the business school and doing med school requirements on the side. So either way, she has back-up, and it is honestly something I wish I had considered doing.

Let me go do some more researching (read asking friends) and come back tomorrow, I am an elder sibling too, and I completely understand your predicament.

OHH ya, one of my cousin is majoring in Biology and will be a 3rd year Undergraduate student. She totally wished she had majored in another field and had taken the requirements for Dentistry on the side. She suggested me of doing that too.
I have a very silly and an obvious query though: If I decide to major in Psych. and want to pursue Dentistry, I will be taking extra courses to fill in the requirements for Dentistry right? So does that mean that I will be behind in college as I would have to take more courses, unless I of course do summer school?

Zainu, how come you don't go with the option of undeclared? You can take a few classes in different subjects and decide what you want to do.

But if you're afraid it'll be difficult, don't be! It's not bad.

Thanks Nimmi for the information.
IDK, but OK let me tell you that I have been hearing various types of information from everyone. Currently I am signed up for Biology, but students already taking it are freaking me out by saying it's way too difficult and basically like my GPA would get ruined. They are also saying that I can't really do much with a Biology degree but Psychology can be my back up option and will be more handy.

I mean some summer school is a good idea. To be honest, I try to take 15 credit hours or more a semester and work part-time. If I took 18 every semester, I would not need summer school, but that is not going to happen. I plan on taking about 17 this coming semester though. So yes, it will be an extra load, but I think you should be able to handle it. And I personally think it is a better option and will give you more flexibility. But you can also be undeclared. Unfortunately, this idea freaks desi parents out. Let me tell you though it isn't a bad idea for your first semester or year, and then you can knock out the speech, English, tech, etc. requirements.
