I've taken two anthro classes physical and cultural and they've both been fun so it'll be cool..

I hate sciences too.. people always expect me to love chem and bio, but I'm so glad I'm done with them and calculus.. thank god.. I like stats..

@Kully: That is true about the political science teacher at my school too. Not all of them are though, which is why I decided to minor in international studies because that is more of the area I like.

@Sonia: So true. Being a doctor in our community is more about the prestige factor.

@Neha: My Sister's Keeper is by Jodi Picoult I believe, and it going to be made into a movie. I have read another book of hers called The Pact: A Love Story that was also made into a movie.

One of my favorite books that I feel is extremely underrated is Dicey's Song by Cythia Voight. It is a wonderful book in every way.

Zainab, you sound alot like me, when I entered university. I am actually a biology major with an international studies minor. And I effing love political science. But I want to start working as soon as possible so I have decided I will try to go towards something that I can graduate soon and start working (respiratory therapy) and then go back to school for physical therapy or toward a masters degree in something more liberal artsy.

Ditto. You laid out my thoughts perfectly. I got interested in Political Science through Debate class that I have been active in at high school. Though I still need to learn lots more about it, I can already sense that I will love it as I am really interested. I swear due to my involvement in debate, I have been so much more aware of the environment and surroundings. If I had not been involved in it, then I would seriously be a dim wit. I never thought I'd be passionate about certain issues but I guess I was wrong! 😆
As you said you want to be able to make money right after you graduate and that's my goal too which explains why I might end up majoring in Biology. I want my options open, especially in such tuff economic times. Dude I have heard about Respiratory Therapy and I have heard it pays excellent plus you have time to even be a part time student while you're working. One person I knew did that.

Thank goodness I had tested out of all the statistics classes I needed in college. Everyone in my university complains about the professors we have and how hard the classes are. And anthropology classes are interesting from what I have heard. Actually, I took one sociology class in high school, and I loved the experience. I had a great professor, and if I could with regards to money and time I would have minored in sociology.
