They last only about 15 - 20 episodes, so there's never a boring moment. Each episode is so packed, you'll never think "oh my god, move on already!" like with our Indian shows. I mean, 20 episodes mein toh Prem hadn't even seen Heer's face! Here, in 20, they're living happily ever after. Give it a try! Hey Nimmi... I was bored the other day and since I have really liked the one or two korean movies that I've seen, I followed up on your recommendation... and OHMYGOSH I LOVE IT... It IS like the ULTIMATE chick flick tv serial... It's so cute, and is usually whats keeping me entertained these days, and uhh inactive on I-F!!! (Your fault though - you didn't have to go around recommending it in the first place!!! Seriously what were you thinking??? 😡😆😆)

Strangely I can draw many parallals between Zhi Shu and Mayank... Both are smart, genuisly so, both are really good-looking, both have this air of superiority around them, coz they look down at people or the main female protagonist (Zhi Shu more than Mayank) but as big a fan I'm of Mayank, I think they've handled Zhi Shu's character and the primary love story WAY BETTER... I can also draw parallals between Xiang Qin and Nupur, both are seriously clumsy, not the smartest, extremely funny with their roleplaying... But again XQ much better handled than Nupur... Seriously, all these shows have just reduced my tolerance levels for the cr*p thats being dished out on TV in the name of creativity... I mean this tiawanese show had the exam drama... which started in episode 2 and ENDED in episode 3... While ours would go on stretching and stretching and stretching it until you're just begging for it to frickin END. I'm BORED of all these Nupur studying scenes, Mom teasing M about N, M-N both taunting each other (I usually like their nok-jhoks but of the beginning variety - Its no secret that M and N are both my favorite characters on the show, but I really don't like Nupur acting all self-righteous to Mayank about studies - she surely shouldn't underestimate him, also its just out of character for her, I'd expected N's taunts to be more of the exaggerated kind, sorta like she lashes out cause of the HURT that she is feeling with M's treatment of hers, but over here since the creatives have failed to concentrate on that hurt or show some self-dialogue - she comes across as almost TULSI-like in her lectures/taunts [something I think that doesn't jar well with Nupur's personality at all - as she isn't the perfect sort like Gunjan, she has her quirks and idiosyncrazies and she celebrates them so don't really expect her to be all self-righteous]. Maybe these are just shades showing from Rati's previous saas bahu show 😆 - thankfully the situation has improved, their scenes yesterday were fun and because Nupur acted like Nupur and Mayank acted like Mayank).. I'm just SO so disappointed with this track!!! Especially since Mayank and Nupur are my two favorite characters in this show... I would really like to be able to enjoy and love them as I used to before...

Mind you I'm just on episode 17 of 'It started with a kiss' So No spoilers please!!! 😛

Yeah, there are similarities b/w M and ZS but ZS is soo.... colddd... He's like a frickin robot or something.... At least Mayank shows some emotion with the smiling and gussa and the "mujhe laga ki mera bhi koi dost hai..." ZS just sits there, face made of stone, unwavering.... M is more affectionate and... HUMAN... 😳

And OMG N is not half as STUPID as XQ! N is flighty and don't care-ish and a totall goof ball, but with XQ, bless her kind and loving heart, it's genuine dull witted stupidity. So many times I've wanted to just stop watching the show coz I couldn't really relate with the characters. But I stuck with it, and ultimately, I liked it. Now that I think of it, ISWAK wasn't the funniest or best show I've seen, but it will be special for me coz it's my first asian show. 😊

Acc. to me, (and my friend who has a high bullshit threshold), don't bother watching the sequel. It was mega-super-ultra boring. I watched the first episode (honeymoon scenes 😉) and couldn't get further. No, not coz the honeymooon ended! It just was boring. I had gotten my closure with the first season and didn't need to watch the next.

May I suggest Devil Beside You and then Why Why Love if you're done with ISWAK? Both have the same star cast, i.e the adorably amazing Mike He. He's a far better actor than Joe Cheng (who plays ZS) with impeccable comic timing. DBY is a lil angsty-er but ends well. WWL is a laugh riot by the minute. Watch DBY first and then WWL.Coz if you watch WWL first, you'll be a lil disappointed with DBY's drama and never really enjoy it to the fullest. Come back to me after you're done with these and I'll give ya more! 😃

By GOD! Rati/Nupur is so frickin' adorable. I love her lil voice inflection when she goes "jhappi paalooooooo!" and then a little delighted giggle. God, I just wanna adopt her and plait her hair and want her to be my best friend forever! And check out how Sanaya/G looks suprised + delighted when R hugs her.... I don't think she expected such a tight jhappi.

I want this Nupur back again. Who I wanted to be best friends. Not this psycho nerd from hell. :/ Can I have adorable Nupur back please?
