SwaRon os: A promise broken

I lay beside her, my heart as cold as her hand. She was cold. She was not breathing at all. Her face was white and pale. Those beautiful eyes that once used to reflect her innocence and purity are now completely lifeless. I consoled myself saying that she was just into a deep slumber. "Why did you do this to me Sharon?" I asked her, as if she would reply. Yes it was Sharon who was lying beside me. She had always promised me that she would always stand strong even if I go. I was meant to go. Lord had destined me to leave this heaven called Earth soon. But Sharon, she deserved to live. I still remember the day we had confessed..

Flashback:

Simmi- Swayam, Sharon called me and said that her car broke down near the PP road.

Swayam- What?? God!! I'll go and pick her up. You all enjoy the party.

Simmi- Ok.. And call me once you find Sharon..

Swayam- Cool.

Swayam reached PP road and started searching Sharon, Then suddenly he saw a white car parked far away. Thinking that might be Sharon's car, he walked up there.

After reaching near the car, he saw the most beautiful sight in front of him, Sharon, his Sharon stood there wearing a simple aqua green sari with golden borders. Her minimal make up and diamond earrings added more beauty. But rather than the clothes or makeup, thing that made her most beautiful was her pure made of gold heart. He was mesmerized with the beauty standing near him. Moonlight and slight drizzle making the atmosphere even more clam and heavenly. It was the outskirts of Simla and D3 gang had come here for a dance event and a party organized by the National Dance Association. Swayam stood there dumbstruck, forgetting why had he come there. Sharon felt someone staring at her. She shifted her gaze towards Swayam and their eyes met, connecting their heart from the weak yet most strong string, LOVE.

Swayam and Sharon were best friends since 8th standard. Both of them loved each other more than their own lives. Later they joined the same college, joined the same dance team and were dance partners. But they had never confessed to each other fearing that they may lose their friends while searching for love. But today, something about the atmosphere, the environment gave Swayam hunches that it was time to keep aside fear of loosing and confess his feelings to his love, His Sharon. Swayam went and stood near Sharon. The light drizzle had now turned into a downpour. Both of them were fully drenched, but none of them cared. Sharon was unusually quite today, this tensed Swayam. He went and lifted Sharon's face. "Why did you hide it from me Swayam?" was all she asked. Swayam froze. Did she know? If yes then how? There was only one way to know, ask Sharon. He mustered up some courage and asked her, "Hide what?". Now Sharon lost it. "Stop acting innocent Mr.Shikhawat. I'm talking about your tumor damm it!!" "How could you Swayam? Why did you keep it away from me?" Her tone soft yet from and full of hurt. "How did you come to know?" "Truth can't be hidden for long Swayam, your doctor had some urgent work with you, she said she tried calling you but you did not receive her call. So she called Rishi uncle, he did not know that I was unaware of your disease so he gave my number to the doctor and she called me. And said informed me about your disease." Sharon said, crying her heart out. It was still raining and they both were totally wet. Looked as if even god was crying.

Sharon fell to her knees and started crying, this was unbearable for Swayam, he caught her shoulder and made her stand on her feet. "Why did you hide it?" She again asked. To this he immediately replied,"In fear of loosing you." Hearing this her head shot up, she looked directly into his eyes and asked in a low yet frim tone "Loosing me?" Swayam could not control his words now," Yes I did not share it with you because I knew you would breakdown, and I cannot see my strong Siren Sharon in such state.. I just can't bear it.." He trailed off. "Why do you care so much about me Swayam? In one hand you don't share this important matter with me, you say that I'll break and other hand you call me Your Sharon. Why Swayam, Why??"

"Be..Beca.. Because..." And he stopped. "Why did you stop? I know what are you going to say, please say it Swayam.. I wanna hear it from you, please..." Sharon said. Hugging Swayam tightly. He could not stop it now, he caught her firmly in his embrace and replied "I love you Miss. Sharon Rai Prakash.. I love you and will love you forever..." These words were like a soothing medicine to Sharon. "I love you too Swayam, more than my life." After sometime Swayam broke the hug and said "Sharon, you know I will soon be going from here, so promise me one thing..." "Anything Swayam.." She replied. "Promise me that even after I go, you will stand strong and never ever break. Promise me that you will always remember that though I won't be with you physically I will always be there in your heart and soul." "Promise" she replied...

Flashback ends

"You broke your promise Sharon, you came along with me... Why Sharon? Why did you do it?"

Just then he heard Rey saying to others,

"Swayam and Sharon both lived for each other and they died together, they lived their life to the fullest and though I'm sad that I loosed my Best friends I'm happy that even in death they didn't leave each other... This is what make SwaRon special..."

Then Swayam slowly saw his and Sharon's coffin being closed. Being sure to see his Sharon in heaven, Swayam too went into that deep slumber called Death.
