Toh main kuchh nahin boloongi, except that along with being among the most brilliant of actors in Indian Television, his dancing skills and creativity has put him in the top notch. Yes, he hasn't participated in a TV reality show (& trust me, if he does JDJ or NB, the impact WILL be seen.), but he has won one of the most prestigious dance competitions in India, at India Fest, widely accepted as India's biggest college festival. And heck, he is the main choreographer for the ONLY Dance-based fiction show in India, choreographing dancers who are deemed to be among the best. His acting, well - it moves you. I have cried with only one other actor n Indian Television, and that says a lot about Shantanu as an actor.
About the person that he is. Humble. Grounded. Positive. Bold. Giving. Mature. Beyond the funny antics that he usually puts on display, there is an honest, genuine guy, who isn't afraid to call out a spade when required-and only when required, as he isn't one to hog the limelight. His team-spirit, oh boy! Can anyone here show me the level of dedication, commitment and selflessness he has towards the show and the entire TEAM, that he always puts before himself, in anyone else? Has anyone seen him go "Hey! Watch SwaRon/VruShan/TanHa dance/scene today at 7 pm!" ? Nop, it's always, "Keep watching D3, Monday to Friday, 7pm, only on Channel V". "V", mind you, which has done enough injustice to him already. Has anyone seen him go, "Oh my God, I have so many fans who love me!" ? Even with all the affection he gets, he is firmly grounded. If he wished, he could have taken maximum advantage of all this popularity. He doesn't do that. And his respect towards Palki Ma'am, who has, quite literally, MADE him what he is today, it will pay him in multitudes in his life. And his behavior towards his co-stars - respecting them, cooperating at his fullest with them, keeping them in their comfort level, helping them in whichever way possible, it is commendable. And I think I can say this for Sneha and Vrushika both.
To be honest, more than for giving me Swayam Shekhawat, I am thankful to his being in D3, for his restoring my faith in the existence of good human beings, at a time in my life when I needed it the most.
