Being a younger brother is always a disadvantage. Trust me when I am saying this! And especially when your brother is getting marrying.
The burden of responsibilities was thrown on my shoulders. I was the one who had to manage everything by myself. Food. Mandap. Decoration. Everything.
Plus there was also Kriya-the over demanding chick. I smiled thinking how she had crawled in my room last night, hoping for another make out session. But, my stars never really shone. Again i was called for the moctail party which was taking place last night and i was no one to object.
I was never taught to object. I always learnt to do what I was asked to.
Kriya was an exception here of course.
"Reyaansh" there came another call for help.
"Yes bhaiya" i replied monosyllabic.
"Kaha khoya hua ha?" Asked Abhinav - the older brother to Reyaansh.
"Actually.." i grinned, "its nothing"
Yes, i know you got it. I was the biggest FATTU of my entire generation. The youth would probably spit at me.
Well, telling Bhaiya that i was doing his almost-wife's friend wasn't the wisest thing to do. Right?
Meet us - the ultimate pair of friends with benefits, uh.. not exactly friends with benefits, for one simple reason that we were not friends!!! . I know this is a kind of sin, but hey, this was definitely something better than the "commitment" people do-just to get laid. Like come on! While most of the girls searched for their prince charming on white horse, kriya was a virgin at twenty six. And she never really fails to sweep me off my feet.

Just while I was watching the decorations and thinking my phone displayed a new text message. The guess was easy, it was Kriya.
"Where are you? You know where to meet me. Fasten your steps xx" was all that her message said.
No. We were not going to make out for the your perverted brains information.
When we are about to make out we generally type 'you on fr tonight right?'
And the message that she jjust sent meant that she wanted to talk. Hey that rhymes- sent meant! Haha! Born poet!!

Anyways, she had to talk. Yeah, she could trust me. Who would i tell anyways? Shaadis have always been boring for me. No TV, No Internet, No po*n. Hah! I can barely imagine a life without them.
Still.. there was at least a bit of entertainment due to Kriya.
I walked fast, i did not want to upset her, she was already very after i left her hanging last night.
And finally i was there, our den -- a corner on the roof.
She was walking to and fro the little area, her hair was scattered and she had no make up on. The constant movement was causing her dupatta to fall and i easily got a clear picture of her cleavage, but her legs were covered with the frilly Ghagra she was wearing. Ow, I liked seeing her toned creamy legs. Other than that, She was biting her nails-she was definitely nervous.
Oh, i so know this girl.
"If you're done checking me out the you could listen maybe? " she said re arranging her Dupatta.
"no actually I'm not done" i said as i winked
"Ugh! Not right right now atleast. I screwed up!" She grunted.
"Did I do something again?" i asked her. Her basic problems aare all because of me.
"No" she said. And hid hher face beneath the palms.
This was something serious. She never did that.
"Okay what happened?" I asked
"Marriage" came an instant reply.
"And I thought there were still four days left for that" i replied.
"Dumbo! My parents are fixing my marriage" she reasoned.
And for a moment I felt a clinch oof heart, something infuriatingly like dissapointment.
"Oh" was all that came out of my mouth.
"Why did they have to do it now? When everything was going so perfect! " she dug her face whithin her palms again and i heard silent sobs
"Come on" i spoke "you can't cry"
"Crying doesn't make me less of a girl" she reasoned.
"Okay. Well, we can atleast meet the guy" i said though i was dreading it.
"Nooo" she groaned.
"Stop doing that and come on, we'll see how he looks like at least" i held her hand and sshe looked up at me.
And for a minute she was just staring.
"You know what that means?" She said "if this marriage gets fixed, i can never do this friends with benefits thing anymore"
For a moment i was silent. Not knowing how to reason with her, she just seemed to convince me when i gathered my senses back "We will see the guy.end of this conversation"
I just wanted her to decline one more time. But, She just nodded.

He made her see the guy, and she could not help but wish that he'd asked her not to do this atleast once - but the thing was that he had not.
She frowned thinking about him. memories with him weren't many but she had spent some happy moments with him. And she could not help but cherish them
she was just sitting on her bed, in her normal nightwear - crop top and shorts.
They had no plans tonight, the guys were all out and the girls were already asleep. She was sharing this room with her best friend - Shikha di. But just five seconds ago she had helped her sneaking with her Fiance.
It was then when her phone buzzed and she could understand that it was him. She never knew that Guys party was this bpring that he would text her of all people. "Reaching your room in five"
she wwas shocked. she didnot want to make out today, she wasn't in the best of her moods, and if he had asked her sometime before, she would have definitely declined.
Here, she wwas going to get married and making out was all he cared about. Could her life get any worse?
A moment later she could hear his knock. And as she opened, she felt herself being pushed by him, he was kissing her. And it was not soft.
He held her shoulders, and made her body crash into his. Why was he so hard on her?
She didn't know. But she could feel his agressiveness.
Once he pulled away, she was expecting him to carry further on but he just said "I don't want to do this today"
"Neither do I" she hushed. "Why are you here then?"
"Because.. i hate that night out. It sort of pisses me off"
"Ohh.." she said and then noticed the proximity they were sharing. Yes, it wasn't the first time they were this close but it was just the moment which kept them indulgded. He moved away from her, and placed himself on the couch next to bed.
He seemed disapointed with something. Though she didn't know what.
"Why are you so.. down?" She asked hesitant
He looked at her for a second "its nothing"
But there was definitely something wrong.
He took out his mobile and started playing one of anime games.
"You didn't come to my room for these stupid games or did you?" she asked exasperated.
"What do you want?" He asked.
"I want you to tell me what is disturbing you" she said but he didn't seem to notice.
And then she just felt the need to ask him. "is it something.. related to my marriage?"
"I just don't like the idea of you belonging to someone else" he just stated. He made it sound so peculiar that for a moment she was confused whether it was really related tto his emotions or not.
"Would you say something?" He asked
"What do you expect me to say? The reality is and always will be-that you just love my body. You have absolutely nothing to do with me" she blurted out
And the next moment she could see "hurt" pasted on his face.
"This is it then?" He asked. His voice was hoarse.
"Yes." Came out of her mouth.
He walked away but suddenly stopped and spoke, "Kriya, i hate you"
"I hate you too" i hushed.
The difference was that this time he meant it. And she did not.
Once he was gone, she couldn't help but cry.
And soon Sriti was back. This wwas just the time for confessions.
She hheld her hand, and Abhinav was right behind her.
"Kriya would you please say, what happened?" She asked
"Kriya.." Abhinav started but was cut off
"Can you please leave us alone for a while?" Sriti asked.
And Abhinav walked out of the room.
"See Kriya, you can tell me. Just say what happened" she asked
i took a deep breath and gathering my courage i spoke "Di i made out with Reyaansh"
Shocked was an understatment. She was bewildered, and for a moment she felt as though Sriti (di) would slap me.
"Oh my god! I can't believe you lost your virginity first! look at me, I'm twenty eight and still a virgin!!!!! How was he? Did he thrill you?" She jumped off the bed.
She was sucessful in making Kriya smile. She was just capable of doing this.
"Yes. He's amazing in bed!" Kriya said..
"What happened? And since when?" Asked the over enthusiastic Sriti.
"Since two weeks" Kriya spoke.
"And you're telling me now?" Sriti gasped and Kriya could just smile.
"I thought you would be upset" Kriya reasoned.
"Dumbo! I'm your best friend how can i go upset!?" Sriti stated
Minutes after they were back laughing.
"but Kriya, are you emotionally attached to him?" Asked Sriti
For a moment Kriya couldn't answer. She was numb. "Yes di. And maybe he is too"
"Oh My God! Are you two dating?" She asked
"We probably won't ever see each other again" sshe said as tears started forming.
"Why but?" Sriti asked.
"Di, mom dad won't accept this. He belongs to a different community!" she reasoned.
"As long as you two love each other. Nothing would matter" Sriti said.
"Di.." she started off but was interrupted.
"Tomorrow is my marriage. And i want you to settle things with himself too" Sriti said.
"Lets see" she said.

Kriya could not stand the image infront of her eyes. She could just not bear seeing him. She tried to stay in the wedding as long as she could but time came when she just gave up.
"Sorry... I can't do this di" she said and ran back to her den - but den was just a corner in the roof. She sat there crying. Tomorrow was the day she was leaving and he didn't seem to notice even.
She sat there pale and tired from non stop flowing tears. When..
"Come on. Eat" she heard his voice.
She turned back only to find out a plate in his hand. He was trying to give it to her.
"I don't need" she said.
"Just take it" he said
"I won't" she said.
He thrusted the plate in her hand and sat next to her. She just looked at him with large wondering eyes.
"I'm.." she started off.
"Leaving tomorrow. I know" he interrupted.
"That's why you're here?" She asked with a pinch of hope that he would say yes.
"You aren't going anywhere" he stated.
"That is something i should decide" she rolled her eyes "why do you want me to stay?" she just wanted to hear the words from him. Just once.
"Because i love you" was what he said
she smiled "but i don't"
"Agar pyaar nai hota toh yahan bethke ro na rahi hoti" he taunted.
"Reyaansh.. before i leave. Could you just do something for me?" She said.
he turned towards her "what can i do?"
"Just.. just kiss me once like a boyfriend would" she spoke.
And the next moment she could feel her lips meshing with his. He held her face gently in his hands and kissed her, more than she could ever desire. He was soft, and gentle when touching her.
Once when he pulled away, he could not get his eyes away from those twinkling eyes "here.." he hushed and turned back towards the sky, in order to stop the brimming tears.
"you fool! You don't get it even now right? I love you too" she giggled.
He turned back and smacked her arm.
"Shit Kriya! We're in love! Would you date me? I mean facebook pe relationship status vala date?" He asked with a smile adoring his face.
"Obviously dumbo! What took you so long to ask?" She said.
"U know i had to check how you were in bed first" he grinned
"I.." she started but was cut off.
"Yeah yeah. I hate you" he said.
"no. Reyaansh f**king Singhania. I hate you so very much!"

You know there is always this realization, that friends with benefits aren't just friends. They're always more than that.
And no matrer whatever no strings attached relationship you have, in the end you would realize how many strings were already attached!
