TR post for TR fans
Today I am feeling very proud of Taani. Yes, I've always had a soft spot for her and that's mostly due to the fact that I've been able to relate to her in many ways. But today I am very proud of her because she has proven her critics wrong. Taani's emotional morale booster for Rey showed us that she is not selfish, anti-gang nor a hindrance for dance, like some had suggested in the past. On the contrary, she has proven just how much she cares for the team's success., appreciates their hard work and passion for dance...and that her love for Rey is unconditonal.
For one to acknowledge their mistake is the sign of an individual with character. And today Taani clearly accepted that she was wrong in asking Rey to choose between her and dance. I appreciated her honesty and more so...I loved how she told Rey that dance will always be his first love. It's very difficult for us to share someone we love with someone OR something else. And by accepting that dance will always be more precious to him, Taani has shown her maturity and growth as an individual.
The last time Taani persuaded Rey, she had to use a painfui tactic...but this time round she spoke nothing but the truth, and without any hidden meaning. It came straight from the heart. She fell in love with the Rey that was in love with dance. And after everything that he wanted her to realise, Rey himself was beginning to falter and deny it himself. He was letting the team down and that's not what love teaches you. In love, we rise above ourselves and rise to the occasion...for others.
And as expected, Taani's words made a positive impact and Rey did what he was meant to do. But it was heartening to hear him think to himself at the end, " tumhare bina meri har cheez incomplete hai." Yes Rey's passion is dance...but with Taani by his side, it makes it even more special. But without her, everything loses its meaning.
Hats off to Taani. She has grown as an individual and I would like to call her the unsung hero. In her own way, she makes things right. But most of the time, it tends to go unnoticed. But that doesn't matter. She managed to convinvce Rey to make the right choice and he did. That in itself is her reward :)
Side note: TR precap...Taani nursing Rey's cut and tearfully telling him that she is leaving...very emotional times for Taani and Rey. I think I'll need a box of Kleenex tissues by my side! But I'm happy that they are getting their much deserved screen space :)
