I am a very opinionated individual. So I'll just highlight two points rather than everything:

Taani's equation with Tauji was revealed a couple of epis ago in a very subtle manner, through a simple conversation between the two. Indeed she feels indebted to Tauji and obviously does not want to hurt his sentiments. She's not just thinking about herself. I genuinely believe she doesn't want to let Tauji down.

As for the dialogue about being selfless in love - I think you are quite right. Sharon was perhaps relating it to her own situation. But I felt it was rather unwise on her part. To simply compare is to simplify a situation. We all go through different scenarios in life and face it differently.

I think that's all from my side.
