The blue-eyed boy of Dil Dostii Dance (D3) Kunwar Amar who turns a year older today (16 March 2013) was overwhelmed with the gesture of his D3 team and girlfriend Charlie.
The D3 team under the guidance of their mentor and creative of the show Palki Malhotra threw a surprise birthday party for Kunwar at a farm house. The do was attended by the dancer's old bunch of friends from DID (Dance India Dance) and D3 cast and crew.
The actor also got to cut two cakes, gifted one by D3 team and one from his loving girlfriend Charlie. The team partied till the wee hours of the morning.
Kunwar confirmed the same as he said, "I completed my shoot yesterday (15 March 2013) when Palki maam came up to me and said that we had another scene to shoot in a different location. I was so tired that I requested her to postpone it to the next day. But, then she told me that the channel wanted it. So, I just followed the cast and crew. In fact it was only after reaching the farm house that I realized that they threw a party for me. I felt so special at that point."
He added, "In fact, even Charlie kept telling me that she so wanted to meet me at 12 but since I am shooting it won't be possible. And, then she was there at the party. They did not let me know for a moment that they were up to something."
Talking about the gifts he said, "The gifts kept pouring in and they did make me feel like a school kid. Almost everybody brought me gifts."
Any special gifts from Charlie? "I had strictly asked her not to buy me gifts. In fact, last year she wasn't working but even then she brought me gifts, namely an iPhone 4s. iPhone 4 had just launched then and it was damn expensive."
However, the actor will be working even today as he tells us, "I have an off but then I have to rehearse for a dance sequence after which I get to have fun."
Lastly, talking about his fans wishing him on this special day he states, "I have 55 missed calls on my phone. Some from international numbers. I too have received a lot of text messages. So, I am sure my fans and friends had been calling me. I am also certain that Shakti (Mohan) must have tried calling too as she is in Chicago at the moment."
