She was a fighter. The psychologists who visited her told that she had immense strength. That she was a strong girl who wanted to live despite what had happened. She did not want to give up like thousands of other women who were victims . She wanted to live, she was ready to face the world. And she fought, fought for 13 days, never lost hope. She told her parents that she wanted to recover, she wanted to live. She battled for her life for 13 long days, but today she has given up. I am not going to say Rest in peace because she cannot. Her soul will not be able to rest in peace till those bas***ds are punished. They shouldn't just be hanged. That would be so easy on them. They should be tortured like she was. They should beg for death. Today, I am ashamed to tell that I am from India.
That India, where a girl was gang raped on a moving bus in the nation's capital city, just because she was on the roads at night.
That India where the president's son mock the people who are fighting for that girl.
That India where an acknowledged writer , that too a woman, tells BBC that all this protest is just because the girl was from a Rich and well-off family.
That India where even after all this happened, numerous rape cases are still reported every day.
