"Dad!!"
"Sharon, I am concerned "
"I know that dad..I'll take care..and you are coming to Mumbai next month right??We'll definitely spend some time together..Now..I'll cut the call, okay??I have to go.." Sharon said as she was waiting for her flight to take off..Two and a half hours more and she was going to be in Mumbai..She was going to meet her friends after one and a half month!!Most of all, she was happy that she was going to meet Swayam again..She didn't have the slightest idea of how she had spent those 45 days without him. She used to talk to him every night..But she was dying to see him..to see his smile and those dimples. He was going to pick her up from the airport itself and after that he was going to arrange a dinner for her..more like a candle light one.
"Dad, you know that mobile phones have to be switched off in the flight right??Bye.."
"Bye dear.."
Sharon disconnected the call.
The flight took off. It was 5.30 in the evening and she was not sleepy..She had spent the previous 24 hours day dreaming about Swayam. She did not know what to do, so she just laid back and cherished the moments she had spent with Swayam.. She remembered the day she had confessed to him..Charity event.. It was the best day of her life..She had never seen a guy like Swayam who was so caring so nice and so pure at heart and who would go to any extent just to see a smile on her face.
"He is and will always be the best soul" she muttered to herself.
Misunderstandings are common in all relationships but as far as they were concerned, misunderstandings crept up to them every week, initially..But their bond was so strong that it could overcome every hurdle.
She remembered the day, she said that she liked him..His sweet and suave attitude was still there..He was okay with her "like" and her intensity even then. He never complained about her intensity and seriousness for him. He never put any kind of pressure on her. He was always so sweet and so protective regarding her.
She was not willing to recollect the sad moments..The day when he asked her if she wanted a break up..The day at the dance camp when she herself broke up with him and told him that he deserved much better than her.
She remembered their promise at the dance camp, his dance- that made him the freestyle national champion. She was so happy for him. She had a compensation for her loss.- his win. His win made her proud.
Swayam had taken her to the medical room after she lost consciousness. It was then that she realized that he meant a lot to her. She made one more confession to him- that she liked him very very very much and that he was and will always be an integral part of her life, no matter what.
She was not sure then, but she did realize that she loved him a lot only after she herself suffered the pangs of separation, not literally. But she had never been emotionally attached to anyone. Swayam was the first person. She liked Rey too but she missed Swayam more than Rey. Each day, she would spend at least half an hour talking, texting or chatting with him. She had missed Swayam a lot..And she knew one thing for sure, she was slowly falling in love with him. It was her time of confessing it to him. She had made up her mind. She would confess it to Swayam that day itself.
"Passengers are requested to not open their seat belts. We will be landing in Mumbai in a short while" a sound echoed throughout the flight.
Gosh, they were in Mumbai so soon? The two and a half hour journey had ended?
After landing in Mumbai, the first thing she did was got out of the flight and collected her bags. She was waiting outside for Swayam when a hand came and tapped her on her shoulder.
She turned only to find a smiling Swayam looking at her with the most adorable expression on his face.
"Swayam!!" she hugged him.
"Sharon, is everything okay??"
"Swayam" she spoke after they broke apart. "Do you have any idea of how I spent those 45 days without you?"
"Yes I do..I had to go through the same fate, my dear.."
"Swayam.."
"What?"
"I wanted to tell you something.."
"Yeah? Not now..You are meeting me after ages..And I am going to take you for a dinner.."
"That's called a date, Swayam"
"Yeah..same thing..Now just give your bags to me and sit in the car.."
"wait..I have to remove something from one of my bags.."
"What?"
"Why should I tell you that?"
"Fine..I'll start the car..take whatever you want to and keep your bag at the back."
Sharon took out something and sat in the car.
"Where are we going?"she asked after some time.
"Just wait and watch.."
Swayam drove the car into a beautifully decorated place. It was amazing since it was situated near the shore. Cool breeze was blowing and the atmosphere was fresh. She saw a table for two and a candle placed in the middle of the table. The nearby area had a proper air of creating a romantically lovable atmosphere.
"Swayam, this place is amazing.." Sharon began.
"Its not better than you."Swayam replied with a smile on his face.
"Not bad, Did someone give you classes on romance while I was away?" she asked.
"Nah. I speak with all my heart and my heart is craving only for one thing right now."
"And what is that?"
"I can't stop myself from asking for a dance with you.."
"I say, there is no music Mr.Shekhawat.."
"Do you remember that day in the projector room?There was no music that time too..And you were in red..I was in red too..Today I am in white, you are in white too..Whats wrong?"
Sharon blushed as she recollected the projector room dance.
"I have not seen your cheeks go red in ages, Sharon!!" saying this he extended his right arm.
She placed her arm in his and he pulled her towards him. They began dancing. Their steps were in sync and complete co-ordination. Together, they created magic. Though they had not danced for a while now, it seemed as if they were practicing together for ages. They were perfect. They had unbeatable chemistry. Both were looking in each other's eyes and were lost in them. Sharon blushed once or twice when Swayam reduced the distance between them. He turned her and softly kissed her forehead. They ended up in the same way as they had in the projector room that day. Both were lost in each other.
"Swayam" Sharon spoke after she came out of the trance.
"Yes" Swayam was still partially lost in her.
"I wanted to tell you something.."
Swayam was completely out of the trance and he was still holding her.
"Go ahead."
"Swayam, you know..that day..Just before going..I said..something that began with I think I.."
"Yeah..So?"
"You know..I realized that there was no "I think" in that..There were three words in that sentence, always.."
"And what are those?"Swayam wanted to hear those words from her mouth.
"I love you."
Swayam did nothing but he just digested the fact that she had finally confessed to him. He was ecstatic and her reply was overwhelming.
"So after all, I did manage to make you fall in love with me..Sharon.."
"Yes you did..You are perfect in everything Swayam..And oh...one more thing.."
"And...What is that one more thing?" Swayam enquired.
She started going away from him but returned with a box.
"Open this box." She said.
"What is in it?" he asked.
"Don't ask questions..Just open it Swayam!"
"Ok" Swayam opened the box and saw a heart shaped card in it. On the card, it was written "I love you"
"This is my first gift to you.."Sharon said proudly.
"you know Sharon, I'll keep this with me until my last day."Swayam gave her the most gorgeous smile ever.
"Don't you dare talk about dying and all, Swayam...at least not in front of me.."
"Okay..You know Sharon; these gifts don't matter to me...Since I have memories...our memories...which will always stay, here in my heart..."
"But it matters to me Swayam..You have done so much for me..and do you think I cant do even this much for you?"
"Sharon.."
"You know something Swayam..you will and always remain the most special for me...No matter what...and for proving this I'll do anything..And I mean it...because I love you Swayam..I love you a lot.."
"I love you too Sharon.."
Sharon came closer to him and drew her lips near his...Both of them could feel each other's breaths. Just before his lips were about to touch hers, she quickly pulled them back and gave him a peck on his right cheek.
"Not so soon, majnu boy..Better luck next time." she smirked.
