We started the trend of youth shows on TV: Kuwar Amar
Kuwar Amarjeet Singh
Cinevistaas' Dil, Dosti, Dance a dance based youth fiction show on Channel V completed 300 episodes yesterday (4 Oct 2012).

And basking in the glory of the show's success is the lead actor of D3 is Kuwar Amarjeet Singh.

Kuwar, who plays Reh on the show, is extremely elated with the response that the show has been receiving for the last one and a half years and says that the show's success has challenged people's thinking. "It was an impossible task but we managed to turn it in to a possible one. It was an experiment and I am happy that it has worked. I still remember when our show was about to go on-air everyone said that this type of show will never work and that Indian audiences would never accept a show like this as they are only used to watching the saas bahu sagas. But we challenged people's thinking and today our show has completed a successful 300 episodes."

When asked about his transformation from a dancer to an actor Kuwar says, "So far the journey has been amazing. All the actors on the show are dancers in real life and we were never into acting but the entire credit goes to the makers of the show that they took the challenge of converting dancers into actors. I have a long way to go now, it's just a beginning and I hope that I continue to entertain viewers whenever I come on screen.
The young lad also goes on to say that the success of Dil, Dosti Dance has set a trend of youth shows on Indian television, "Our show has all the necessary masala from romance, hard core dancing to emotional drama and that is why our show has managed to come a long way. I truly believe that we have started a trend of youth shows and I am glad that now people are making more and more youth based shows for the audience."

Although the actor is in the midst of celebrations, he doesn't forget to thank his fans who have made the show so popular. "I would like to thank all the fans who have made our show such a big hit. Thank you from the bottom of my heart" concludes Kuwar Amar.
