However, ever since the promo had aired and my attention did shift to the message written on their tees which read out - "It's legal now"...i was pretty eager to see how thru the dance they give out the message on the topic of homosexuality and same-sex relationships which is still considered pretty sensitive to deliberate on in our society. Wat i was mainly looking forward to and was expecting from the cv's who are doing such a huge 'YOUTH' show to give out a tolerant message and not make fun of it or make it derogatory in any way...
However...i am really sorry to say but this time around the cv's really have disappointed me...
The dance if i may point out may be taken in a sporting spirit and for the sake of entertainment also can be given that much liberty, but i failed to understand NEHA'S DIALOGUES after the dance...
1- She gave a disgusted reaction..."cheee"... BTW there is NOTHING chee about homosexuality, in my opinion.
2- Neha also said "babu tum normal ho jayoge...chinta mat karo!!!!!!!".- Again, there is NOTHING not 'normal' about homosexuality.
D3 caters to a huge youth base, the show's expected to give out a tolerant message and not show sumthng wch takes digs at homosexuality and made to believe that homosexuality is abnormalcy. We live in the 21st century...we the youth of our nation should not be made to see such 'stone-age' mentality ridden and ignorant coloured dialogues being mouthed by characters in a tv show...that too of a youth show.
P.S- "Television/Cinema samaj ka darpan hota hai...sahi se dikhaya jaye toh sari-gali ruriya aur chinta-dhara ko badalney ki shamta bhi rakhta hai..."
