this is how the channel generates money, so pay for the actors etc etc. they can charge companies a higher premimum depending on when the commercial is shown, and are usually more expensive when shown in the middle of a show.
and its not like its just channel v, nearly all serials/shows have ad breaks, this is how a lot of the money is generated for a channel and it happens everywhere
