what a great man..aftr reading this i think im falling for him (na i take my wrds back..bhargu
dekhegi to mujhe nahi chodegi😆)
but why do all such grt emperors have such a sad ending..alex was decieved by his health
bt why did cgm have to die of voluntary starvation😭i wonder..

Chandragupta gave up his life voluntarily...infact I was wondering the same thing a few days ago when I was doing some research on him...what led him to do it...my conclusion is 'from a very young age he was fighting, taking over land and trying to live his guru's dream, 'akhand bharat' maybe he started at the age of 15 -16 a mere boy...the amount of blood, gory and conspiracy he must have seen and been part of it that he was fed up with life, imagine his body must be having so many old wounds (due to battles) which might be giving him trouble from time to time he just did not want to carry on only more, he tried spirituality and maybe he did not get the peace he was looking for...'

@tintiny - iagree with you..even i read smwhere dat cgm was a man of principles but he was quite ruthless when it came to wars and stuff..and its only obvious dat one cannot become a great emperor without shedding blood..so he must hav had enough of it..but his ending is really
sad😭 i cant stay hungry even for a day nd he starved himself to death😭

and i have read in some texts..that there was severe drought at that time and cg decided to take jainism and starvation to save his land from this adversity..dont know how true it is 😊
