@jhum_86 i don' think that Chandragupta'd only one son bcoz he'd married helena in 303B.C wen Seleucus Nekator signed a peace treaty .
but its also true that Chandergupta stepped down from the throne in favour of his son Bindusara in 298 B.C. so its quite possible he married helena just 5-6 yrs. b4 his death.
and Chandergupta bcame king at the age of 20 yrs.wen he started his war of liberation in the lower indus valley b4 323 B.C bcoz of unrest caused by sudden death of Alexander wid the help of "Pravatka" or "Porus", a hilltribe chief who'd fought wid Alexander!!
@historylover though i agree that CGM bcame king at v. young age but i m also sure that he'd a son from helena but wasn't even allowed in the court bcoz his mother wasn't a Indian by birth!!and he'd married her 5-6 yrs. b4 his death!!
and though in this show its shown that CGM was a slave but Megasthnese in his "indica"'d told that at that time in india slavery wasn't prevalent though servants or "dasas" & dasais" were present. but the way sagars hav shown abt slavery in it isn't true. though CGM was earlier rearedby cowherd & then by a hunter & wen Chanyakya saw signs of royalty in him he brought him from his foster father & took 2 Takshshila Univ. & gave him educn nearly 8yrs. 2 thwart greeks & depose Dhananand!!
