Helena proclaims Bindusar as the next king of Magadh and welcomes Chandra. Chandra comes there with sorrow full eyes but happy for Bindusar. Chanakya does arathi for Bindusar and Bindusar addresses his people and vows to fulfill the duties of a King.

Chandra asks Bindusar to takes blessings of Nandhni and calls out her name. A girl in veil comes there. Every one is shocked. Helena hurried towards her and takes away the veil. She was a dasi carrying Nandhni's portrait. Bindusar goes and takes the portrait and says to Chandra if she is alive then her blessings are always with him and there is no need to take her blessings like this. Hearing this Chandra takes her portrait and calmly leaves. Bindusar looking angry.

Helena follows Chandra to his room. She asks him whether he was trying to insult her. Chandra replies, he only said the truth that Nandhni is Bindusar's original mother and dont forget the during Bindusar's childhood, Nandini had saved his life many times and that if Bindusar is alive today, then it is only because of Nandhni. It is true that Nandini hadn't given birth to Bindusar but he is a pivot factor in Nandini's life and he has to take her blessings. Irritated Helena asks Chandra what he is doing by wandering here and there with Nandini's picture even without a garland on it and, by doing this, wont her spirit be affected because she is dead and even before she could pronounce the word he objects that Nandhni is not dead, she is alive and he continues, as far as the matter of Helena being rejected, don't forget that Helena is the wife of Samrat Chandra Gupt Maurya and she has every thing with her. But Chandra's wife is just Nandhni only. Helena says to him, because of all these words from you the whole world is thinking that you are mad. Chandra replies it is very difficult for me to make you understand, a person's belief on God is what makes him keep connected to God though he hasnt met God yet. People calls him mad, Love is also similar to this. Helena asks afteall why he is doing all these and have any guess that what would people think of its meaning and Chandra replies, they will think that I am mad? And you should not feel wrong about a mad person's words.

Bindusar is upset and drinking alcohol. Helena comes and stops him saying this is injurious to your health. Bindusar says he dont care and his father is still living for the dead Nandhni and doesn't care about him.

Chandra shows the portrait of Nandhni to that mad person whom he had donated his jewellery. The person tells him, that she is gone nowhere, she is here only and she will come soon with your lost smile. Overhearing this, Bindusar becomes mad and comes running and pushes away the mad person as if trying to project Chandra, and madly asks who gave him the permission to come inside and asks the soldiers to arrest him. Chandra says he only brought him inside. Bindusar asks what if he attacks Chandra and Chandra sarcastically asks how can someone kill an already dead person. In the whole process Nandini's portrait had fallen down and Bindusar stumped his foot on it. Chandra concern fully asks what have you done my son and desperately cleans the dust over it with his clothes. Chandra talks to Nandini by looking on her portrait, to look at her son's condition and tells her if she can hear him please come back to him.

Nandini wakes up from sleep shouting 'Nahin'. Dharma calls her ma. Nandini says she dont remember anything, but she feels like somebody is calling her. Dharma asks whether it is about someone from her past but she cant remember, Nandhni walks towards the window looking at the moon, suddenly she feels cold and says breeze is pulling me towards some one else. Here Chandra also looking at the same moon. Bharat ma voice over - nature is trying to bring them closer.

Bindusar's engagement day. He is getting engaged with Charumathi , his childhood friend and a princess. Nok jhok between them. Helena is upset as Chandra is nowhere in the Mehal and. Moora says she will manage it.

Bindusar getting ready for engagement. He asks Helena why she is getting him engaged with Charumathi . He sounds as if he is not interested in her, though she is his childhood friend but agrees for Helena.

Vaidji examined Nandhni and says she lost her memory because of the mental tension. When ever she tries to remember anything she will get memory attacks and gives her medicine. Nandini thanks Dharma and her grandpa for saving her on that day. Dharma says she is like her mother, and her grandpa says thats why they have given her the name of Dharma's mother Prabha. They didn't know anything about her but only knew that she is married because of the MangalSuthr. And he continues she will be known by this name till she gets back her memory and why didn't her husband came in search of her and Nandhni says she is not sure whether her family is even remembering her. Here Chandra standing with her portrait in hand, Chandini bg playing at the background.

Edit add :precap- Dharma is kidnapped. Nandini decides to go to Magadh to rescue her, but she don't know where is Magadh. Chandra comes in search of Nandhni in her hut but Nandhni hides.

Somehow feel that they should not shown CGM as "devdas".He is a king man..The way he step back down when chanakya do tilakk of bindusar ...It's so heart touching..Can't see CGM like this..

The great CGM has completed his eventful victorious reign and has successfully handed over his symbol of power, his sword, his hard earned Kingship to his heir Bindusar. CGM and his reign has come to an end and now only Chandra is left behind. A Chandra who has caught in the cluches of depression and deep sorrow in his wife, Nandini's 'demise' in the eyes of the world. But for him the hope of Nandhni being alive, compells him to take his next breathe..

It was just a random thought that came to my mind when I wrote the story, 'The Day Before Yesterday', that Chandra separating CGM from himself, that Chandra and CGM are two persons residing with in one. But felt nice to hear when Chandra himself verbalised it and that my most favorite dialogue of the episode is his dialogue to Helena, 'aap Samrat Chandra gupt Maurya ki pathni hein, sab kuch toh hein aapke paas. Kintu Meri patni sirf Nandhni hein', CGM is a personality that is built within him by Chanakya but Chandra is his original self.

The scene of Chandra with tha mad person felt really symbolic, and his dialogue that 'yeh Kahaani ab jaldi khatam nahin hoga' felt like rather meant for the audience. In the whole magadh palace, no sane person could give him solace and it needed an insane. They says it right, only an insane can understand another insane and here one is literally mad and the other, our Chandra has lost his senses and presence of mind, and the only thought that rules his mind is the thought of Nandhni 's return, and that mere thought have kept him alive till now.

Chandra has forgot to speak, tease, smile, be happy, hate, be angry. He has completely become emotionless. His every emotion is connected with Nandhni. Infact no one in the Mehal except Chanakya deserves Chandra, in their whole life Chandini cared for their family, and now they two are left alone. Chandra is ignored to the least. Nandini guessed it right, no one in her family remembers her or ever mourned for her. It is just one Chandra living for you by taking your name in his every breathe and that Chandra just remembers only you and every thing else in the world has ceased to exist for him.

Rajat has himself improved leaps and bounds as Chandra, There is no one but he himself is his greatest Challenge. The character of CGM in Chandra Nandini has explored his different facades. Chandra is a trailor made for RT. He forgets to act but lives on screen as Chandra.
