Where an emperor is scared of his wifes impostor?

Where an emperor romances an impostor to make wife jealous?

Where a wife will happily do duties of a elder sister or mother in marriage?(like gatbhandhan)

Where a wife will interrupt a again wed bedroom to give glass of milk? Are they no maids

Where a wife feels happy and giggles as her husband romances another wife? (even siblings get jealous if parents show more love to one child)

Where an emperors grandmom and mom dominate him in all decisions of house?

Where grandmom keeps barging in emperor bedroom when hes romancing wife without announcing?

Where a empress will prepare cowdung for meals?

Where impostor moving around palace and no one catches for months?

Where an impostor drinking ciggatte yet no one suspect her?

I can go onnn

Forget CGM in 400 BC a king in 21st century will not do all this

Just because CGM did not write his personal life huistory like an Akbar, Humayun etc anything is being shown

Agreed akbar and humayun did wrote their history...well not technically, since they made people do that, for them. And mind you those prashati patras and namas are always considered as a exaggerated versions by the historians, but nevertheless they do provide a window to the socio economic political and cultural aspect of the respective period.

Anyways coming to akbar and humayun...where exactly akbar wrote in his history that maham anga had an impostor. that he and his wife were possessed by a spirit that too bengali speaking...and where exactly does the mughal history mentions an anarkali who was walled...interestingly we have an anarkali ka makbara in Lahore (tomb and wall...contradicting are we)...still we have audiences and critics showering praises over mughal-e azam and anarkali which preceded mughal-e-azam. And that walling sequence of anarkali is considered as one of the epic sequences of the hindi film industry.

With historical/period characters...we tend to expect them to behave in a certain way. While yes they won't say "what's up" when meeting with friends ...but they have the right to be enthusiastic when catching up with pals. That's just an example ..what I mean to convey is , emotions has nothing to do with, from which era does the character belongs...coz emotions have always been there since the manking evolved. So to me it's okay for an emperor to be scared or. make her wife jealous...at least he doesn't gifts a kohinoor/kohinoor ka khitaab that too in front of everyone to a courtesan or offer her to sit beside him on the throne, with all of his three wives present there So, while...it's completely acceptable to find the lizard scene OTT , by some. Finding it unbelievable just because a king is in question...is a bit harsh on him. He doesn't have to be godly to be a historical character.

And what's wrong in making cow dung cakes?? It's not that she uses electric oven in the palace and now she is made to make cow dungs...Cow dung cakes were the only means of fuel apart from wood...she wasn't degraded as an queen by showing her make them. She was just having a taste of his husband's life.

Having said that...I would emphasize once again that I by no means tend to blindly support CN. Yes I completely agree with you that at times it has been disappointing. There are a lot of characters who are OTT, even the leads at times. There are many loop n holes. And you have every right to be disappointed with the show...all of us have. I completely agree with you on durdhara. But that's ekta...didn't she managed to produce an offspring out of a completely platonic relationship of salima and jalal😆

Just that CN till now has been mostly in sync with history (that is what has been accepted by the historians) ...yes even with the bahubali history of chandra.

All said in a good way...and difference of opinion is welcomed 😳

Totally agree with you. Durdhara actions were really OTT.

Where an emperors grandmom and mom dominate him in all decisions of house?
Where grandmom keeps barging in emperor bedroom when hes romancing wife without announcing?

Women did not have a big say those days, alright. But it's also true that those days, elders words were agreed upon, without a word or argument against them. So, emperor listening to his grandmother is no big deal.
But Yes, everyone agrees that an emperor's room should have an Announcer to inform who is approaching his room. It's a gross mistake of CVs right from the beginning. This has been pointed out time and again by each forum person, but the CVs have been ignoring it to make the knok joks between Chandra and Nandini romantic - probably 😉
