His retaliation was absolutely brutal and vile. It was a heinous overreaction by a far cry. And the fact that he used her own father as an excuse, the very person he overthrew for being a corrupt, filthy and unjust ruler, to justify his actions makes him no better than Malayketu and Nand themselves.

Fair enough Chandra was the star pupil of Chanakya's, who fostered a new school of thought. But there have been some instances where it appears to me that Chandra is actually more 'modern' (for the want of a better word) in his manner of thinking than Chanakya. For example when Chanakya urges him to marry Nandini as he has won her and it his right but Chandra rejects it on the basis that he won't force her and marry her without her will.

And indeed there is a certain element of hypocrisy tied in to this. Going by that logic, a man who hesitates to marry a woman who doesn't consent, gets mighty awkward upon realising she's in the room whilst he's bathing, but doesn't bat an eyelid to strip and bathe her himself? It doesn't add up. Where was his shiksha when he forcefully bound and disrobed her? Where was that very same reason and reluctance to use force on a woman when he carried Nandini to the bath chambers and threw her in despite her constantly pleading him not to?

The bizarre versions of revenge and justice that are meted by the characters of this show definitely raise a few eyebrows. Sometimes it's particularly difficult for me to wrap my head around Chanakya and Chandra's concepts of pratishod when they fail spectacularly on the grounds of dharma and morality but are more used to serve a purpose of boosting

their ego, sating a blood-lust or in the name of pure politics . I've definitely lost a lot of respect for the Chandra in the show for this but I hesitate to channel that toward an actual figure that existed at some point in time. Because for all intents and purposes, this show is historical fiction so I'm sceptical about certain characters and events being portrayed the way they are and how true that is history.

I don't know whether anyone will agree to me or not but what Chandra did to Nandini was hats off to him.He did what was fair and justice .He was killing Nandini from within by his act

What Nandini did ,and her father and bros did she is getting the fruit of it

Bravo Chandra loved the scene

Want even some Helena torturing Nandini scenes too and I will surely like it

Helena just stole the show today,she is falling in love with Chandra awe .Just love her

Even if Nandini had provoked him, what Chandra did is not justified. A better and more saner way to punish would have been to put her in jail or something. I hardly got over that horrible bed scene when they shoved the bath scene. I still can't fathom why the cvs played the romantic background tune during those scenes.

Next they may show Chandra redeeming himself for his act. Wat is done is done. He shud had the sense before bt not after doing it.

Worse part they may not even show any sort of redemption from him. How can Nandini fall in love with this guy even if it's her husband. I was just thinking about the PINK mv molestation scene to the heroin and the final court scene. NO MEANS NO. even if it's ur wife.

Chandra did a right thing 😊

If this was not for revenge ,I would surely disagree but as its for the revenge of what Magad has faced and his mother has faced .I feel this molestation isn't enough .I want Nandini to face more .Love Chandra saying ,I married you to torture you to death .Every minute ,every day you will be dying😃

Nand Vansh should be destroyed completely and even Nandini should be brutally tortured .

Nandini was never a part of the real history and thus I don't give jackshit about her but spoiling chandragupt mauriya's character who was real and an important emperor in history on account of a dumb annoying fictional character is by no ways acceptable

This was straight away molestation... whatever nandini did, but this punishment is not what she deserved.. there are many ways chandra could have made nandini to get scared of him but no, he didnt. I thought he will stop till dupatta scene but no, i was shocked to see the whole scene of undressing her. And the most pathetic thing is when he took her for bath, there was physical torture done to nandini, and the cv's gave romantic bg music... I mean what were they thinking, do these ppl themselves 1st watch the scene or no b4 giving bg music..?? From which angle does this molestation look romantic.. This scene is the worst scene ekta has ever made, that too in the name of romance, i dont understand y didnt actors opposed to this, m sure actors opinion also r taken into considerations... And one more thing they showed that when chandra took her for bath he applied that haldi on her while facing somewhere else without looking at her.. what cv's want to show, that how chandra cannot go beyond his limits even if he hates her, but they forgot that the moment chandra undressed her his morals had gone down the drains.. And now with this scene how can one think of getting feelings for the same person.

Being a girl I can never get attracted to my molester how much ever good he does..
