Right you are... It's almost impossible to fall in love for a man whom you have witnessed to kill your father and brothers brutally in front of your eyes; no matter how much bad evil your father was, and how much good the man is, I feel it's not possible to forget those scenes and accept the same man as the love of your life. The sting of pain and hatred will always be somewhere in the heart... Even, by the rule of nature, or by getting deadly attracted by the nature and the personality of the same man, and after getting to see the real truth- that is the whole brutal act was purely justified from the man's point of view, it is very difficult to love that same person unconditionally... Unless the female lead sacrifices her past in the fire of repentance and her urge of revenge slowly gets overpowered by the passion of love, it is not possible. And also after this, the past and especially the horrendous sight of her father's death will become her nightmare in her happy days!
But, in the virtual world of fantasy, it will be damn interesting to watch the development of the story (considering if the writers are matured enough to handle the complicated plot properly)...
Perhaps loving Nandini is easier for Chandra, as he is not the witness of his father's death and however, Nandini had no direct or indirect hand it that... His fire of revenge would extinguish slowly, and he will be able to forgive and ignore Nandini from when she will stop looking like her father's shadow to him, as he has already avenge his father's death and mother's humiliation. Though from the characterization of Nandini, I can't see any quality in her that will pull Chandra towards her; but sometimes hatred and revenge can give birth to a passion, like distracting attraction... but it is hard to believe Chandra will fall for Nandini first, and become manju in her love before she changes her hatred and attitude towards him... It's gonna be complicated, and damn interesting if they can show and enact properly. 😊
The Historical stories based on revenge and love fascinates me always; I would like to tell about two stories in this context... One is named Viskanya, which one is plotted in 100 years ago of CGM in Magadh... A cruel king (just like Nand) gave birth to a beautiful daughter from a maid, and it was forecast that she's gonna be the reason of her father's end... So the king instructed the mother of the child to bury the kid alive; eventually the mother dies and one of the intelligent minister of the king who was sentenced to death the same way, escapes with the little child with a verge of eradicate the whole dynasty with the help of the girl. In her adulthood the girl, who is dangerous by her nature and said to be a Viskanya, sets off to take revenge; by the time the king was dethroned by his rebel subjects and another descendant of the same dynasty was the new king. The girl kills the former king first, then started wooing the new king to kill him; eventually falls for him and at last sacrifices own life in the plight of revenge vs love...
Other one is Kaler Mandira, set on the last days of Gupta period... A random guy Chitrak suddenly comes to know that he was the son of the former king of a small state, who and his family was brutally killed by the present king and his team... The urge of revenge boiled in his blood but eventually he started getting attracted to the present princess Ratta Yasodhara... The princess knew everything, and she had decided to win Chitrak's heart with her love and also to give him ample scopes to fulfill his revenge. Chitak's revenge lost in front of love. Though at last it as cleared out that it was not the princess's father who killed the former king, but the father of the villein of the story. 😆
Though these tales hardly have any direct connection with the story of Chandra-Nandini, still I can feel a very slight and distant similarity between these... If Chandra-Nandini can be handled properly with less of Saas Bahu Sautan and more with maturity of relationship between two young individuals, it will be an interesting tale to watch. 😃
