OK, so that is one thing sorted out, the flying shot. But my dear, that was not at the end. It was before even the battle with Malayaketu. You must be more precise in what you say, Disha, otherwise it becomes misleading.

As for the rest, my pet, this is a facile excuse that is hardly credible. I am genuinely touched by what you have been sweet enough to say about me, but my dear child, if you like something, you have to say so. It there is something which merits further discussion, you have to pick on it. Every writer needs that kind of feedback, and I am no exception to that.

I do not mind it if someone just hits the Like button and does not comment. But if there are comments, I want at least some of them to be related to my post.

It takes me 4-5 hours to type out and edit a post and over another hour , sometimes more, to watch those episodes all over again and take notes. After taking so much trouble, one expects that there would be some comment on the post, not necessarily, or even only to praise it, but to discuss it. Is that too much to ask? If I am to get not even that, why do I have to strain my poor rheumatic fingers so much? I can watch the episodes in peace and relax. Some days, these posts are exactly like homework. If you ever wrote serious posts, you would understand where I am coming from.

Anyway, enough of this. My hand is begging me to call a halt to this, so I shall. Take care, child.

I'm sorry Aunty! Please don't feel bad. I mean no disrespect. Its mostly because you so beautifully explain each and everything, that I honestly have not much left to say.
I will do try to indulge more though,I promise. I never miss your posts and I have utmost respect for you.

Which last shot? I did not see any such thing, and I have discussed the shield hopping bit, which was not bad at all. As far as I could make out, the only flying shot was the one I have criticised.

I'm talking about the same shot aunty! Reminded me of how much it used to anger me when they showed him flying around in every other scene during the earlier episodes.

All this apart, would you mind telling me how you liked this post, especially the battle parts? What you found interesting in it, were there any points you thought could be discussed?

I have expended a lot of effort on it, and it exasperates me when that is passed over as something to be taken for granted while you go on only to things you want to say, with no reference to my post at all. This seems to be now becoming a habit among many of you young folk, not to pick on a single point made in my post, and I am beginning to get tired of this, young Disha!

If this becomes the norm, why should I write anything at all? You can all get together on some thread or the other and carry on happily. It would do me a lot of good, come to think of it, save my time and spare my fingers!

Thank you, my dear Ankit.

There was no VFX at all in the first battle, Ankit, and only that one flying shot in this one. I would not hold that too much against the director.

Thanks a million, my dearest Akka.

While I wait for the rest of your comments after you have read the whole post, I shall, though it is rather late, being past midnight, go across to your Baby & Babloo thread and refresh my mind. I need it at this point of time, I am so tired out!

Affectionately,

Shyamala

I don't know what to say or what to write.. I read only the first segment of your analysis of the war and the Samhar...
How are you able to bring everything before our eyes, without leaving a small detail..You are like the referee in a boxing match..
Shyamala, it is 11.30 pm here and I am retiring to bed.. Will write more tomorrow..
Yours
Saraswathi Akka.

I will try, Amina, and thank you for saying that. But I do get fed up with so little substantive response. This routine is beginning to take too much out of me for not much return.

Fabulous post as usual Aunty, especially your description of war gives a grand visual effect, that time to time I missed in the whole war sequence. The whole war was quite good one, and enjoyed it to-to from first to last minute keeping away the blooper VFX scenes 😆...
The Mahabharat style dharmyudh was something I never expected here. 😆 Who hired that purple turban referee btw? The first verbal encounter between Chandra and Nand and the beautiful and significant tilak- scene where mother's blood-tilak was put on Chandra's forehead as a blessing in the form of motherland's soil was very good. 😳

The actions were good and believable till the flying and super-jumping began. 🤣 The headbutt was something uncommon, but I was laughing all the time watching that! 🤣 🤣

I did not like Chandra's Tarzan acts again and again. 😆 Maybe he did it to show his uncontrollable zeal and rage but his shouting and patting on chest like wild monkey made him looking funny in my eyes. 😆

I think makers have serious shortage of blood. All were falling down fainting after getting a little scratch of sword only. 😆 I don't want a blood-drenched horrifying war, but at least make the scratches deeper. 😆

Nandini's screaming and madness in middle of the battlefield with his 9 brothers struggling to stop her forgetting their respective duties in the war was the most funniest thing! 🤣 🤣 When she ran towards the war-field with full-on make-up, ornaments and her infamous curls only wearing a thin shield shouting 'Pita Maharaj Pita Maharaj' and all the daasis started tag-of-war with her hand I was just 🤣 The Nand brothers were such callus! First they combated Chandra with full josh and got per head one scratch, then they preferred to go in a safe zone beside Nandini. 😆

I was happy to see Nand alive today. 😆 Nandini's rant on Chandra's cowardice 👏 The girl has lost her mind and CVS are completely confused it seems. 😆

Your take on Chandra-Durdhara-Helena is beautiful. I wish I could put my views too but today's episode has ruined my mind. 🤢

Thank you for this wonderful analysis Aunty, will be waiting for the next.

Hi Aunty!

It's been a long time since I visited this forum but Chandra Nandini's Helena prompted me to come back. In terms of your analysis, spot on in a lot of areas but I will have to disagree a tiny bit. I like Rajat Tokas as a actor but the yelling and pounding on chest seemed a bit excessive! I was like use that breath to pound those people- don't waste it! The fighting sequences were excellent otherwise, though I wish less focus had been on Nandini and her tiresome repeated hoarse yellings of Pita Maharaja which make her sound like a haranguing fishwife rather than a warrior princess. I'm not sure why, but her tone and delivery do NOT bring to mind the dignity of royalty- perhaps her napit blood showing?

Your analysis on Dudhara and Helena is also thought provoking though I would say today's episode tarnishes Dudhara's transparency a bit- how Cana girl who does not understand how and why to sit a certain way during the first night be so at ease during the consummation? I'm not saying she isn't a good hearted, childlike girl, but I do wonder how much of it is a persona she dons around other people, if only to be left alone.

I will confess to have a great fondness for Helena. Partly because I love the historical romance between her and CGM, and partly because the actress and character is so above Nandini. One who I would say matches CGM. And she is very very possessive. Her anger at Dudhara for having the temerity to steal Chandra from her will be interesting to watch, as will her equation with Chanakya once she realizes Chandra went to Dush only on his say so.

Going back to the Nand Parivaar for a moment. The cowardly actions of the sons surprise me not at all. My guess is Dhana was about nine when the coup took place and since then has learned nothing of honor or loyalty from his feckless parents. What you sow shall you reap and what you teach will bear fruit accordingly.
