Munni, firstly this is a historical fiction. So by the very genre definition we know that we cannot ask for historical accuracy and authenticity. You'd be surprised to know that most of Shakespeare's Historical Plays did not stick to the historical timeline or chronology. He used a lot of reverse sequencing and introduced many imaginary and fictitious characters and imaginary events and imaginary battles and victories as well. His basic material for the plays were chronicles written on the kings and queens.

But the ways he twisted and fitted them into his story were very remarkable and innovative. Of course nowadays, nobody would think of questioning and criticizing Shakespeare for his ahistoricity and anachronisms. But even during his own period when he had several detractors who saw red at the creative liberties he took with history, he had one vociferous supporter and patron in The Queen of England, Queen Elizabeth herself.

When one of her lords criticizes Shakespeare and his works, she rubbishes his claims and criticism and tells that at least this way people will actually remember the names of those kings and queens. She tells that all this while they have been languishing in colorless and lifeless chronicles of history unremembered by the people.

But now, people will cherish them in their hearts. She even goes one step further and tells that she does not know if the original and actual lives of these historical personages was so colorful and eventful as they are in Shakespeare's plays, and would feel greatly honored to figure and be remembered like this by posterity. She says that she as a queen does not see it fit to curtail the creative and poetic license of a great artist. This was a queen speaking about history and creative license.

I know no one bothered about anyone's opinion but
When you will be done something great for your society and country
But your next generation will present your life on a totally wrong way.
Even they will change everything which was most important thing for your life.
I think then it is bothered 😉

And History of Mauryans will have different versions.
There will be A to z versions!
Each version might contradict with other version.
each historian will contradict with other historian

And Ek can chose any versions out of it, or none. At least here some source is there to back it. And its not completely Ek's idea!! yeh accha huva..

For eg CAS show itself as added so much fiction...That it becomes too much to digest

IN cas show, also they had shown Helena as first queen. That was fine, but the way they showed chanakya murder by Helena and 12 year old boy too participating was disgusting!!!...
Anyway what I meant, was all other shows were also showing fiction in the name of history..
