Oh Lord, and he was so impressive in the Mahabharata! I could not recognise him at all. Well, he should look like the old Duryodhan once they have him all dressed up!😉

But then he will be killed fairly soon, won't he, before the Chandragupta-Nandini marriage? He was put on the stage at the press meet for such a small role? Very odd.

Hi aunty... 🤗 well to begin with i did not have much expectations from the show as it is ektas's show obviously... So i wasn't disappointed with the episode.. The show will be mostly fictional and nandini looks like a fictional character too... But yes i think it can be a major trp puller, ekta knows how to do that 😃 yea but like everyone said, iam too waiting for rajat and shweta's entry and looking forward to how the story progresses, keeping expectations aside! Iam sure ekta can create a sizzling chemistry 😉 And btw i think there's another mahaan herione in the making, now it is going to be that whatever Chandragupta was, it was becoz of nandini, chanakya gya tel lene 😆

Hello Aunty 🤗

Good to see you back in your inimitable style! Your quip on the American tourists was amusing.

I didn't like the first episode. Especially the loud pinks. I liked the colours used in the promo - red, black and gold. I hope the art direction improves over the weeks and we revert back to black, red and gold. I didn't like Avanti-Nand romance or whatever it supposedly was; difficult to keep the TV on when such scenes play out, especially with my 6-year old son running about the house. Nand looked less of a barber and more of a warrior with that well toned frame. And the episode was too rushed, and the acting subpar. Not that I have a problem with Chandragupta's childhood being rushed 😉

As far as the particular scene of the Shishunaag talking about protecting Bharatvarsh, I feel Bharatvarsh was anachronistic to that era.

Aunty, as far as your commandments go, I shall try my best to stick to them 😉. I don't think even historians are completely sure about Chandragupta's lineage. The early Buddhists associated him with Kshatriya clan and some other sources associate his origin to peacock herders . Since the origin of this great man is debatable, I am not expecting EK of all the people to resolve it for us. Though I did read that one account mentions him as belonging to a royal family which ruled over a small kingdom name Pipplivahan in Gorakhpur region. Also, regarding Nand, I read in the same book that Nand had an affair with one of the Magahdhan queens (who happens to be Shishunaag's son's wife and not Shisunaag's wife as shown in the show). And Dhananand is supposed to be the son of this wayward barber Nand. Naturally, history needs to be strictly kept off limits as far as this show goes because, so far, nothing adds up between what I read and what is shown.

Eagerly awaiting Rajat's entry. I loved Rajat as Jalal. But I don't want him to revisit Jalal in this show. I hope that the script doesn't let him down but gets him more viewers.

I have only one question watching the first episode: how on earth does a Queen with sooo many maids & servants & soo many sources of gossip, manage to have such an open affair with a servant?! 😆

Also that precap of that Queen holding up her just born baby is taken straight from Bahubali 😆
