Well, since there were a lot of rumors going about CKPC being cancelled, I have kinda neglected this place, thinking that there was no reason to stick around without the show - and VIVAN. But then I found another article, and I thought - there might yet be hope for our Vivan. I don't know who the source is as there was no name or anything, but it was posted in Apni Community, and it sounds sensible.
With a slew of new shows lined up, NDTV Imagine needs to create space for them. As a result there's need for plenty of maneuvering. News has it that Raju Haazir Ho will end, Jasuben Jayantilaal Joshi Ki Joint Family will finally be shifted to a weekend slot and Kitani Mohabbat Hai and another Balaji daily will take the 10 to 11.00 pm time slot. However, there's ambiguity surrounding the future of Chand Ke Paar Chalo.
Raju Haazir Ho will be completing its tenure. A reliable source from Raju Haazir Ho informs, "The show will wind up in January. Apparently, I reckon it was to last for 40 episodes. We'll be completing that in January."
There was no word coming out from the production house. We sent an SMS to Endemol India's country head Deepak Dhar but there was no response
Meanwhile, there's still a question mark over the fate of Chand Ke Paar Chalo. When asked whether the show is coming to an end, an actor on condition of anonymity replied, "This threat was looming large for several weeks but not anymore. It was only yesterday that we came to know that the show is given a year's extension. Our show is doing well and I believe it was rated as the number two show on Imagine."
However, Tangerine Digital Entertainment Pvt Ltd GM Sohail Zaidi sings a different tune. "We haven't received any word from the channel about the show's extension or it being pulled off air. We've signed for 156 episodes and presently, we've telecast just 32. In the last rating, we were rated as the second best show. Thus, I see no reason why we won't continue."
There's no ambiguity over Hats off productions Jasuben Jayantilaal Joshi Ki Joint Family now turning into a weekend show. Back in October, tellychakkar had filed a report stating that one of Ekta Kapoor's upcoming shows will push Jasuben.. into a weekend slot. Producer JD.Majethia, who had earlier rubbished our report, now says, "It's true that Jasuben.. will be shifted to a weekend slot. While the time slot isn't decided, Jasuben.. will now air every Friday, Saturday and Sundays."
With Jasuben…shifting to weekend slot, the question is which show will air at 10.00 pm. Balaji's Kitani Mohabbat Hai is tipped to take that spot. An actor on condition of anonymity says, "As of now, our show will launch on 19 January at 10.00 pm."
Reportedly, the Balaji show that will occupy the 10.30 pm time slot is called Bandini and it's buzzed that Ronit Roy is part of it. We sent a SMS to Ronit but there was no reply.
Well, other shows are slated to come on Imagine viz. Ghar Ki Baat, Jyoti, Seeta Aur Geeta and a daily by Ajai Sinha. (We had broken the news on three of them) Barring Ghar Ki Baat, the rest are said to be prime time dailies. With that being the case, it's only inevitable that some existing shows will either have to wind up or be shifted to a new slot.
For the time being, we can just keep our fingers crossed and see how Imagine's prime time conundrum unfolds.
