1. No needless gloss: KZK 2.0 was ruined as Ekta Kapoor made it too high budget and the actors couldn't carry it. Chand Jalne Laga, on the other hand, keeps things grounded despite Deva now being a wealthy man. No male lead descending down the chopper with camera focusing on his biceps, no horde of clingy bimbo girls swooning over hero just to establish that heroine is not like other girls.
2. Deva: I am still not sure if Deva is going by his original name or he has changed his first name because from episode 2 till 4, all I've heard is everyone calling him Mr. Malik. So I am curious what his new name is. Also Vishal Aditya Singh playing Deva is the production house fully capitalizing on his strength. Vishal has got a nice expressive face unlike the debonair, model-like billionaire CEOs we usually see on TV and it was a nice touch that Deva's accent still has that rustic touch (though I suspect that's more of a Vishal thing tbh as even offscreen, his accent and tone is like that). Unlike other brooding billionaires, Deva doesn't deny his past, he never once proclaims to himself he's a new man and actually wants Tara to at least recognise him. This is a nice contrast to ITV and Korean dramas when presumed dead hero returns and the heroine keeps on telling him he is her dead lover and he repeatedly tries to convince her he is someone else.
3. The Suraj-Chand couple: The dainty features of Kanika, her delicate facecut provides such a visually pleasing contrast to Vishal's 6'3" tall bearded self. Unlike most hate to love couples, where hero hates heroine due to ego clash or some lame reason, the hate ML has for FL is actually justified (the marks Deva got in prison on the back as a child) and the male lead deservedly has every reason to hate the Sehgal family including Tara. (I know Tara was a kid and she had some majboori but she literally threw him to the wolves by lying)
4. The show seems as if the novels Wuthering Heights and Atonement have love child: There's also a regency era lovestory titled Gentleman Jim by Mimi Matthews that has very similar story.
5. OST placement: Gosh! The show reminds me of old ITV era when creators actually knew to use music to elevate the scenes and story and we used to actually wait for the scene when the OST would be played.
