Kaurvaki's character is getting ruined by the makers

When Ashok told her to promise him to leave Pataliputra, she promised him to do so.
But when Dharma told her that she will make sure Ashok marries her,she decides to break her promise.

Instead of this, the makers should have shown her leaving Pataliputra and then circumstances forcing her to return to the mahal or she saving Ashok's life again and Ashok accepts her love.

That would have made more sense and kaurvaki's character wouldn't have been ruined.

On one hand she says that Ashok has asked something to me for the first time and I shouldn't refuse him.On the other hand, she forgets her promise after Dharma's assurance. How can a mother break her son's promise?

Why are the cvs ruining her character? Sometimes she does look like a selfish woman. And that dialogue, "Ab tum bhi mujhe tumhari hone se nahi rok sakte, main tumhari hokar hi rahungi" is mostly said by vamps in serials.

I am not saying Kaurvaki is vamp but she does seem highly possessive towards Ashok. This is not good. And yesterday she was stopping ashok from going to Virat. And today she's not even bothered about Ashok's life. When she knows Virat is a dangerous person, they should have shown her getting worried and tense about Ashok's life.

I have a small comment to make about how you said a dialogue said by kaurwaki is generally said by vamps. I think this kind of stereotyping is why today Indian TV shows cannot have less than perfect female leads. Because it seems people will not accept even a little bit of negativity in the lead female character. I have read on this site on different forums how people don't want the same tulsi Parvati or sati savitri and how a little bit of individuality will be appreciated. But then there are posts like this.
There is no dialogue which should only be said by a vamp or a lead. Please let's try to give the makers some room to give us some different characters. Rather than the same goody two shoes that u can find in any other show. Try switching the channel.

It's always about her not even Ashok. If she really loved Ashok she would have said to Dharma that she will return if Dharma can convince Ashok to accept her. She doesn't care if Ashok wants her or not. It's about what she wants.

I'm rather feeling sad seeing such absolute degradation of a powerful character like KVK... the feisty fisher woman whose valor, courage nd kindness won the heart of emperor... the woman who didn't hesitate to hold weapon against her own husband in kalinga war to defend her motherland and she led the whole woman army in the war... her love for ashok couldn't interrupt her duty and bounds towards her motherland and people... thy was her character... and i absolutely love the historical kaurvaki...
But CAS kvk... seeing her obsession for ashok I rather doubtful that would she ever be able to fight against ashoka in kalinga war... or if makers are planning to show KVK joining kalinga war against ashoka due to her mazboori then it would be last nail in coffin...

KVK-ashok does have a beautiful, passionate love story... which may not be the amar prem kahani which are CAS cvs trying to show but it was far more realistic and full of valor, courage and glory... we had a very little glimpse of that story and the feisty KVK in Ashoka movie... bt in CAS we couldn't even have the shadow of that... sadly...

I agree with u.I too find it hard to believe that this kaurvaki, who left her kingdom, her family like a coward just to get married to ashok, even though she didn't knew whether this guy remembers her or not (forget loving her),will this woman ever fight for her kingdom and that too against Ashok?Right now she is more in love with the idea of marrying ashok that's why she doesn't care what ashok wants.

I agree with the TM that her character is getting butchered. It would have surely made more sense if she would have left pataliputra to fulfill her promise and then may be,meeting ashok on the way and then ashok finally expressing his love to her and proposing to her and requesting her to take part in the competition. That scene would have been good. But by showing kaurvaki breaking her promise after Dharma's assurance truly made her selfish and obsessive. May be till now we have never seen such a selfish heroine before in any tv show that's why probably we are finding it hard to accept kaurvaki's selfishness.

I really don't know what to say about this CAS KVK... I couldnt find a single bit of match with actual historical KVK in her. More than anything.. it feels like she doesn't even have self respect at all.. a person who is rejecting her all the time, she is adamant to get her... which is actually forcing herself into his life... and mind it..real KVK had so much self respect and dignity and she would never be obsessed with some person who doesn't show a single bit of agreement from his side... if she was any roti dhoti serial wali heroine then her behavior should be justified but it definitely goes with feisty warrior girl who was about to led a whole woman army in one of the most ferocious war and that too against her own husband...
Not even just KVK... i feel that they are even degrading ashoka's character too... I feel bore now days and hardly check on the serial... feel so bad for mohit.. and the latest trp is the greatest proof that even people are not accpeting the swayamvadhu drama causing the huge fall..
I don't have anything against actress... though i agree that she wad not the best choice for the role but even i feel that if the character sketch and plot were properly handled KVK would have been much more bearable and acceptable... I would love to ship ashoka and KVK if they were worth of it...if their character had been such traits to impress me...if their story was developed such way alongside the real story of ashoka... and his journey to throne... true that like her other queens KVK also had influential part in his life otherwise her name wouldn't be refereed in queen edicts... but it was not like the way CAS was showcasing... as if she was the sole reason for his success nd akhand bharat could never happen if KVK was nt thr... etc etc... ashok earned each and everything in his life with his blood and sweat, not by some chamatkari rakhsasutra aur shvji pendant by given someone... its true that without the blessing of god and good wishes of your relatives and elders you can't have the success but they are just only influential force and you have to work alone to reach the success and the credit solely belongs to the person who achieves it... I solely felt that they are even degrading Ashoka's effort by showing the fact that KVK was the sole reason behind his every sucess.
