i had been in this forum in initial time. specially for sid and sumedh (also other good actors) but due to personal hazard forgetting password and the show's lack of connection to history finally had put me off.
i had a special love for SusKara aka Sushim and Ahankara pairing. when cvs destroyed it and gave way to AshKara i started getting disinterested. but for sushok kept watcing but when chanakya murder aka history murder happened i told myself don't hoe history from the shwow and waited for little Devi to come. since i am an Ashok-Devi lover humesha se.
but then they brought baby kaurwaki instead. i lost all my hopes and started catching the show in bits and pieces. but then i started loving Sid and Reem chemistry . yes Kaurwaki portrayal was a bit nagging and obsessed. that was writer's fault. but i saw in forum many calling Reem ugly and name calling to compare her with Tunisha. when i love both the girl i never understood reason of comparison. both of them were cute and good actors. its creatives who made one cry baby and other over obsessed)
but i shudder in the mentality of some individuals who called an early teenage girl ugly and decided i wont visit the forum again. (and i dont wanna attack anyone.but what is sickening i would surely express that)
Sid and Reem made me liking AshWaki as well.
when i heard about leap and choice of actors i was skeptial first. being one upon a dkdmian i knew Mohit's capability but then i found he would look old for an early twenty ashoka and also he looked too beefy to be elder version of lanky sid. but i decided to give a try
About Saumya i had bigger doubt. she is good for sweet bubbly cute roles as she did earlier shows. in Navya i specially loved her for the chemistry with Shaheer. but never ever in my dream i thought she can play a strong warrior princess. i always had imagined her in sweet calm pretty roles be like Devi or Subhadra (that was my dream to see her with shaheer's Arjun). still i thought i need to watch before judging.
after the leap the choice that impressed me most is Ankit Arora as Sushim. he actually looks like Sumedh's elder version. i love Ankit since his Lakshman days in imagine tv Ramayana. and he nails whatever character he plays be it positive or negative. and here too he didn't take more than a moment to captivate me.
next comes Kajal Shrivastava as Devi. oh gal she made me all over falling for Devi again. i am watching her for first time and feeling like there cant be anyone better for Devi than her.
third one to impress me in the lot is Daksh as Radhagupt. i liked previous one and now Daksh portrayed a mature version of him.
elder siamak actually looks like imported from iraq😆
coming to Mohit. i have all mixed reaction for him. true he looks older than everyone else. he looks handsome no doubt in that. but i found he would have been apt for the time of kalinga war not for so young age. as many pointed out ashoka was in the job that requires strength hence his putting weight justified. but i would blame cvs for this coz its them who asked him to bulk up.
acting wise he is no doubt trying a lot. but in beginning he seemed kinda off. may be coz of bogus script again. but then he improved with time and showed varieties expression. so m sure he would pull it fully well as out and out cruel chandashok . question is when that time will come.
now coming to Saumya. i honestly still don't know why they chose her for Kaurwaki. no i don't believe becoz she approached. koi bhi approach kr sakte hai. hum bhi. to sabko le lenge kya?
lookwise Saumya in warrior look at first looked good. she brought anger well. but her dialogue delivery had put me off. skin show was not a problem. Kareena did a lot. but Saumya's waist looked bit fluffy for that.
in princess attire she looked better. and so i again started thinking she could have been a perfect Padmavati . she has always a shy timid nervous look that would have been gone well with Padmavati who was scared of Ashoka.
coming to Kaurwaki portrayal. i can't blame Saumya here . Kaurwaki of this show is forever obsessed and do Ashoka chanting. be it Reem or Saumya they only follow what they are told.
but in later episodes i found specially in water scene i liked her. all in all i am not leaving hope that she can improve. she shows bit improvement here and there. so although in my opinion not a perfect choice for Kaurwaki but for the version of contiloe she can fit with effort and time
about chemistry well i am all for Mohit-Kajal as DevOk or AshVi but since AshWki had not yet meet so i am waiting for Mohit-Saumya chemistry. both are gorgeous looking after all.
but my more concern that they show Sushim Ashok face off and Ashok struggle for throne asap.
now after logging in the forum found it already became a warzone. now being a regular of Mahabharatian i am habbituated in fanwar but still the personal attack amazes me here.
i mean not all constructive criticism is bashing. its not right to expect everyone would accept the actors just becoz they are popular face. ppl has right to express the disliking.
but same way its really irritating to everytime all blame goes to particular actor. i mean when nothing can be done to replace atlest give a bit time. just coz the actor fails to impress you that doesn't mean you can call beggar or despo (i had seen some calling saumya that) also is it necessary to bring other ppl fav here in the fight (i saw paridi sharma, pooja sharma even arjun-draupadi had been dragged here by both parties unnecessarily , despite being ardi hater myself i found there was no need for that)
and i am not preaching or teaching anything. i am just expressing my feeling honestly. i mean sho had just started to gear up after leap. all we need bit patience. anyways enough of bakbak. i only say what i think. dont much are who thinks what so cnt help if people feels bad. well you cant make everyone happy can you?
