Gargi, actually both Siyamak and Ashok still haven't accepted the changed situation.
Ashok still thinks Siyamak has a right to the throne, forgetting so does Ashok now. Why can't Ashok want the throne even if Siyamak is capable? If Sushim Siyamak feel they have a right then so does Ashok.
Siyamak has to accept this also. Not after he learns truth about his paternity. It will then be like Mahayoddha competition. Siyamak wanted Ashok to win AFTER he was out of competition not before.
I want to see Rajkumar Ashok, with full rights as every other Rajkumar.
The fault lies with his upbringing , he didn;t grow up with the fierce competitive natural mind set of a prince , but like a Bramhin asram balaak , with a penchant for playing Vanraj ! 😃
It'll take time for him to learn to think the way the other princes do n he'll need right kind of motivation for it. It'll take time for royalty to sink in him.
What could be better motivation than his mother n mother land , the two main purposes of his life ??😃 The day he heard Niharika insulting his mother , he was furious n was swearing venganence . I think it'll take a similar episode with Charu-Sush , to bring out the fire that's smoldering under the surface. Moreover he needs to see 1st hand , the atrocities that'll befall Magadh under d rule of a cruel king like Sushim, ( just like it must've done for CGM , seeing Dhananand ) , then d lion will roar n toss every thing to ash.
In this show all child characters are d reflection of their rearing, from Ahan to Sush to Siamak to Ashok.
Bindu can't escape his share in d fault either ! He should've been more cautious as to how d princes are growing up , who's influencing ,em etc., instead he's completely left ,em under d custody of their mothers !
Only securing their lives for securing Magadh's future is not enough , these saplings need to be nurtured in d right way.
