hm... yeah... Buddhist texts are soo old... even I dont completely accept them.. bt I read historians statement of Sanchi Stupa dats why I was confused 😆
I believe Asandhimitra was the main woman isn't it??

Buddy, you should ask experts of this forum. 😛
My view will be biased cause I've read about Asandhimitra ( btw it's no name, Asandhimitra means chief consort ) Karuvaki and Devi and made my own interpretation of it. 😳

So Ashok is a one-woman man? Monogamy in Ancient Pataliputra 😆There is no need to twist history to suit our modern sensibilities. We like Ashoka just fine.We won't think bad of him just bcoz he has more than one wife.

I am nt forcing u.. bt the articles of Alex MN Das and KL Tripathi are good and also are famous historians...

He he Ashoka was nt at all monogamous 😆
Even I wouldnt mind to see his multiple marriage.. bt dont need an extra one.. and isnt naming Ahankara Asandhimitra too much..Even if Devi.. Asandhimitra are diff. (Well I have read both arguments of them being same and diff. too confuses soul to choose one) Asandhimitra was from Assandh.. (present day Haryana it seems.. dont remember) and is a Buddhist archaelogical site...
Lagta hain mera mind aaj poora ka poora confusion mein hai
