I referred to SRK's Ashoka for my character: Pallavi Subhash
The pretty Pallavi Subhash, who is winning our hearts with her motherly love' on Colors' historical drama Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat (Contiloe), is one happy soul these days, what with her show doing well.
The actress said, "Initially, I was reluctant about doing Ashoka. Since I have never done any historical shows, I was not sure whether to take up the project or not. Moreover, one issue with historical drama is that you cannot find any exact narration of the contemporary time".
"I remember I even watched Shah Rukh Khan's film Ashoka for reference, but unfortunately even in the flick there was nothing much about Dharma. So, I had to shape up the character in my own way and with whatever little resources I had. But I am now thankful that I made the right decision by opting for the project", added Pallavi.
Pallavi went on to add, "I never expected to receive such overwhelming response, but I am definitely happy that we have been able to put our best efforts and that audiences are accepting it".
