Chakravartin Ashok Samrat 9th March Written Update

The episode begins with a messenger requesting Chanakya in the court. On the way to the court Radhagupt asks him as to what will he tell Bindusar and will he tell him about Ashok's identity and without Dharma how will Bindusar believe him? And will Ashok accept it when he is angry with him? Chanakya passes by the chamber where Dharma's body is placed and he lifts the cloth covering her and observes something.
Chanakya goes to court and Bindusar says he knows it is not the right time to discuss such matters and they are in grief over Shubhadrangi but this incident paved way for questions and that is why he summoned the court. He tells Chanakya that he respects him a lot and he has no doubt that his every act is dedicated to the well being of Magadh. He wants him to answer those questions since no one else knows the answer and asks him if he knew that Shubhadrangi is Ashok's mother to which Chanakya replies that his question is valid. Bindusar is livid at this and demands that whether did he not think he had to tell this to him. He asks what was his intention in bringing them here and keeping their relation a secret to which Chanakya says it kept it as a secret for Ashok's safety. Bindusar is confused and Chanakya says while fighting in Ujjain enemies had dealt him a fatal blow and he knew only Shubhadrangi can protect him. That is why he brought her but she knew protecting him would endanger her and Ashok's lives. Chanakya adds that she was ready to sacrifice her life but not her son's and that is why she promised him to protect Bindusar's life but she is Ashok's mother will be a secret and that is why he kept it a secret. Bindusar says what was the need to keep it a secret and Chanakya tells him a promise is a promise. Chanakya adds that how could he assure her that the king will keep her and her son safe when he himself wasn't?
Helena asks is this the only reason and Chanakya replies Ashok's safety is the reason and Shubhadrangi's death proves that her fear was not baseless. Chanakya says he is certain that a tiger did not attack her and everyone are stunned. Chanakya says enemies attacked and killed her. Bindusar is shocked at this and asks him what is he saying and he was there. He had seen her body and the tiger had disfigured her face to which Chanakya replies that the enemies not only disfigured her face but also our thoughts that they are assuming the tiger attacked Shubhadrangi but this is a lie. Amatya asks him how can he be so sure to which Chanakya says that when he saw the dead body he saw the wounds on her hands and face. He tells Bindusar that an animal will attack another only in two circumstances, one in self defense and another for food and they will attack the neck or leg. And if the tiger attacked her for self defense it would have targeted her neck but there were no marks on her neck. And if the tiger had attacked her food then it would have eaten any part of her body but her body is as is. This makes it clear that the tiger had not attacked her but enemies had attacked her tiger claws. Helena says that with such a clue he is making this conclusion to which he says the truth will come out and have patience. Bindusar says who could do such a thing and if he had anticipated this then why did he not send his secret agents and uncover this conspiracy and he should have arranged for her safety himself.
Chanakya thinks of Nirjhara who had assured Radhagupt that she will not fail him and then his disciple telling him that maybe enemies had forced Nirjhara else she would not have shirked from her duties. Chanakya is upset thinking about this. Chanakya says he made a big mistake that he could not protect Shubhadrangi but situations are such that it is difficult to distinguish an enemy from a foe but he vows to find out who the enemy is. Bindusar orders Amatya to help Chanakya in any way possible and Amatya agrees. Bindusar regrets that he could not save the life of a person who saved his life twice but he will honor her death with royal honor. The queens are not happy at this.
Helena is furious and she beats a guard black and blue till the cane breaks. Justin tries to calm her and Helena tells the guard not to come before her. Justin asks where they made a mistake by sending the letter sooner to the king of Ujjain and what if Chanakya finds out and Helena tells him firmly he will not find out anything.
Radhagupt asks him why did he say in court that he failed when he tried everything possible? Chanakya says he tried but nothing came out of his efforts as it resulted in Dharma's death and he could not prevent the attack on her and he failed. He tells him to find Nirjhara at any cost and only then they will know the truth. Radhagupt asks him if he doubts anyone and he says until he gets proof he cant say anything and only Nirjhara will know. He tells him to contact anyone whom she loves more than her life and Nirjhara will come before them. Radhagupt wonders why did Nirjhara betray them and she has to answer them.
Meanwhile a lady is shown to be entering a hut in secret.
Charu Mitra is annoyed that a servant is getting a royal honor and one of her maids tells her it is because she saved the king's life. Charu Mitra says that was her duty but what was the need to give her a royal funeral? And why should they grieve over a servant and Shubhadrangi and her son had kept the king in the dark and is it not reason enough to not give them that honor? Noor says she had a doubt from the start and doubted her intentions in getting close to the king. Shubrasi asks Noor if she doubted her then why did she not say anything to which Noor says she had warned the king but he ignored her. Charu taunts her that it is clear that the king trusted a servant over Noor and had something like this happened with her she would have drowned in shame. Noor is angry and tells her she worries too much about her that she does not think about herself and so much happened with her in the last few days. An ordinary guy made the king order her son to apologise to him before the court and that must have hurt her a lot. And she says maybe this is enough a reason to drown. When Noor walks away from there Charu says that she will repent and the day is not far when she will prefer death over life and she will wish to drown.
Ashok is being treated when he gets up and says he needs to find his mother. Bindusar tries to stop him and Ashok asks him if she left with him then why did she not come back? She had saved his life and could he not save her. Bindusar says he is ashamed that he could not protect her to which Ashok says that God would have saved her and she must be waiting for him and he goes. Bindusar is sad.
Precap - Chankya tells him that his mother had no one besides him and he should light the pyre. Ashok is angry and tells him if he does not believe her so be it but he will vow before Gods that he will stand on one feet and chant Mahamrityunjay chant for his mother.
