The show started with a bang, no doubt, leaving us all enamored and craving for more of this magnificence. But lately, the plot has started becoming a lot repetitive and boring too.
Sorry to say but I've already started losing interest in the show now.
The same old story of Helena conspiring to kill Bindusaar, and failing in her attempt - all thanks to Acharya Chanakya and his intellect.
I don't understand why Ashoka always is entangled in the web of lies and conspiracy when he doesn't have even slightest of chance of playing a role. Like in the current track, what was the need of that poisonous herb being placed in Ashoka's trunk, and hence the allegation on him? Firstly, the Deshdrohi allegation, them the allegation of attempting to kill Bindusaar, then the allegation of misbehaving with Sushima, and now this! All the accusations lead him to be brought to the court in chains and restraints, with someone or the other hell-bent on proving him guilty, and then Acharya Chanakya advocating his case and saving him by pulling him out of the labyrinth of blames. It is getting just TOO REPETITIVE! Can CVs please weave some other track to propel Ashoka as the hero? Please?
The language used is another cause of my dismay. Okay, fine that CVs you introduced Persians in the show and that too as minister and wife of the Samraat (Ugh!) but still, I don't believe that use of URDU language could have been so relevant and common at that time. 😆I can't help but roll my eyes everytime the characters use words that are definitely not Hindi, not pure Hindi. Sometimes is forgivable but damn everytime? It certainly doesn't help in weaving and recreating the past era! The magic, that touch is lost by use of words like 'sazaa', 'hoshiyaar' and what not!
How can I forget History and its DISTORTION! My god, where is history????? I'm searching for it in every nook and corner of the show but am unable to get hold of it! 😆Even the new entry of Amatya Rakshasa had no history in it. He had some personal vendetta against Bindusaar and Chanakya is hard to digest.
Phew!! So here I end my rantings! Sorry for them being so many and so long but I really needed to vent that out. Please let me know whether you feel the same or differ. 😊
