Lets see how dramatic the story gets, I hate distortions, if they dont get to the main story soon, i will have second thoughts about watching!!!

Chanakya's words- no one gets something before the proper time has come- its very true, there is an appropriate time for everything, we may think we have waited so much but sometimes we arent ready for what we want! And Ashok needs training and giving him what he wants- the position of samrat, it would be like giving a kid who was protesting for candy, candy! It doesnt fix anything, Ashok thru his expriences will be ready for the position that he feels is right for him!
Hate doesnt kill love- though the story of dharma-bindusar is fictional, the story here is of love- and Noor who had Dharma killled or she thinks, is still defeated because the king still remembers her! Love not hate is what conquers all! only if Noor understood that, but power and greed do not understand love!
A split second of conspiracy!- Magadh's future is in jeopardy and that is clearly shown when someone frames a child for the king's assasination attempt, when Chanakya is drowned!
Past is alive - Dharma is so shocked to see her past in front of her in the form of khurasan! life comes full circle, the last time she saved the king's life and became the queen in secret, but this time the indication is that she may just become queen in public as she deserves! I think Khurasan was moved by Dharma's words about the kattar being able to save and take lives!
Mentality - Dharma said that its our mentality that makes a knife a weapon but that same knife can be seen as a life saver by someone else! Like someon could be stabbed in the street and left to die, but when someone is shot, that same blade in the form of a surgical blade is used to cut the wound and take out the bullet, thus saving a life!
Spyring - The Spymaster's spyring is brought back once again! CHanakya overthrew the old corrupt king of magadh thru the help of spies (you can watch the old chanakya to see that) its rather brillant! A nation needs a large spy net to keep tabs on the condition of the kingdom, not just for dissent, but for any conspiracies that are brewing in the kingdom or within the government! Spies have made the difference between victory and defeat in all the wars of the world!
So the news that has been spread is that of death- i dont think the spymaster is dead, he cant die so easily! chanakya is a strategist and telling people that he is dead only helps him because he wants his enemies to feel safe, because thats the safe time to strike!!
Khurasan - he is so desperate to keep the king alive, he is man of his word despite all his misdeeds, he so far has been shown to be a loyal man, he gave his daughter to the king and he cant just let his daughter's husband die like that! one may say he is bad for trying to kill dharma but look at it from his view, im not supporting him in what he did, but he was trying to safegaurd his daughter;s future, the things we do for our kids!
Khurasan is like Dharma - you might say what the heck is she saying?! but they are two sides of the same coin! Both are willing to do anything for their child! both are loyal to the ones the care about! They both respect Chanakya! Dharma lives her life thru peace and avoidance, and Khurasan thru wars and facing the enemy!
maa-beta bonding- its lovely relation, that part is real!
Dharma's fear - she tells Ashok to hid his identity, for the first time in his life his mother is telling him to lie, its very hard for anyone to understand all this at once! Ashok is getting the life experiences needed to become ruthless, he is being accused of a crime he didnt commit! he is being beaten, what kind of people beat a kid? its training Ashok for sure! And today they have become honest liars because they are good honest people but when the survival instinct kicks in, even the honest have to lie to save themselves from bad people, the trick is to convince them of the lie!
Spys at work- I love how the spies thru the simple tattoo as the id badge are spread thru out the mahal and kingdom and are doing the one thing that they were trained to do, keep vigil over the safety of Magadh rajya! Spies are the weapons of peacetime and wartime, thats the great thing about them!
manipulation - Helen comes to manipulate a child, and i think he may have been manipulated had it not been for his mother's words! he saved his mother's life because if she found out that his mother is treating the king, both mother and son would be dead, and I think next week the fact that they are maa and son will be hidden thus saving Ashok's life!
I think Chanakya's spies will come and save the kingdom and save Ashok too!

I actually liked the spy part, that part is accurate, many of the spies were courtesans/prostitutes because they got visitors from all around, they received governement officials and soldiers! This is highlighted in the old show Chanakya!
