In a day and age, whilst our heroines are 'just about doing anything to climb up into the world of stardom', we were taken aback when we heard that peppy Roshni Chopra had declined her calling card into stardom with Bobbiy Bhonsaley's Bollywood production, Bizarre because the script involved kissing scenes.

When we contacted Bobbiy, he affirmed the news and said, "I have tremendous respect for Roshni and she turned down my script because there were intimate scenes. She is a married woman and she is not comfortable doing such scenes. No ill feelings for the same." And, without a moment lost, he's already got a line up of tellyactors in his kitty - he is considering a bevvy of telly beauties for his role.

Jocularly, he adds, "No Bollywood stars for my production. There's too much chasing around for dates and their bills." Post UTV's success with Aamir and the rise of Rajeev Khandelwal as the new 'hero in the horizon', most of the fledging actors and wanna be directors are testing new concepts and working on small budgets to make a film.

Bobbiy Bhonsaley has five productions coming underway. 'Bizarre' a concept which is underway deals with the underworld crime scene. When we contacted Roshni, she confirmed that Bobbiy had approached her but she declined the role. She said, "Bollywood is a calling, but I would like to take up roles that I am comfortable in."

A trait, which we give our thumbs up to!

It takes courage to say no to the first steps of stardom. But Roshni has no regrets. She says, "When it has to happen, it will happen. I said no because my comfort level is the paramount. And I'm glad that there are no ill feelings. There were compromising scenes and as an actor, I don't think I could have pulled it off. You cannot lie to the camera."

As of now, the peppy actress is busy with her Chak De Bacche and a slew of shows in the US. In the midst of this, she is busy helping her husband set up their production company. We couldn't stop ourselves before we asked – "Would we see Roshni on the big screen under her home production?" Laughing her way out of the answer, she said, "A step at a time, a day at a time…"
