Akki's look for SINGH IS KING revealed

Akshay Kumar is soon getting the reputation of being the good side of Gulshan Grover, for he is one actor who is experimenting with his looks a lot these days. One can find him in a new avatar that of a 'pagadi' donning a Sardar in his forthcoming Vipul Shah's film, Singh is Kinng. IndiaFM brings you a sneak peek into Akshay's much talked about look in the film.

While on this film, there are also rumors that this film is basically produced and financed by none other than Akshay Kumar himself! At first, we ourselves were taken aback with this stunner of a news. Hence, we decided to get it straight from the horse's mouth. When we spoke to Vipul Shah to confirm the same, he denied the rumors very strongly and said, "I am not going to talk about this at all, as this is completely ridiculous. To get the clarification on this, you need to talk to Akshay himself and find out. And as far as I am concerned, I do not want to talk about the money at all."

Kareena Kapoor has signed her first film post Jab We Met. The film titled Kambakht Ishq stars Akshay Kumar and will be directed by Saabir Khan for Sajid Nadiadwala's banner.

It's an unusual love story, "This is the first film that I have signed after Jab We Met, so you can understand how much I loved the script. It's a great role and I've wanting to working with Sajid for a long time. His association with our family has been wonderful. Two of Lolo's biggest hits — Jeet and Judwaa — were with Sajid. I am also looking forward to working with Akshay again after Tashan. This is my fifth film with Akshay and we have always shared a wonderful chemistry on screen," gushes Kareena.

Our first time

Sajid Nadiadwala had been searching for a leading lady for the part for three months before he finally selected Bebo for the role, "I am happy that Kareena and I will be working together for the first time. She suits the role perfectly. My director Saabir and I, both saw Jab We Met and loved it. It was a difficult role — the transition from the first half of being a vivacious extrovert to the second half where she withdraws into herself — but Kareena did a great job. Kambakht Ishq is a romantic drama with comedy in it."

No problem there

Talking about his association with Kareena's family, Sajid says, "Kareena's dad Randhir has worked with our banner Nadiadwala and Grandsons in many films including Haath Ki Safai and Rampur Ka Lakshman. I have known Randhir for the last 15 years. I have a 100 per cent record with Lolo as both Jeet and Judwaa had been golden jubilee hits. Kareena always thought I had a problem with her and that's why we never worked together. All the films I made were her kind of films and she would always ask her friends if there was something wrong. There was nothing like that. It was just that we missed working together."

Woman-centric world

Kareena is known to be choosy about her scripts. Sajid laughs, "In fact, when I approached her, she said she doesn't want to hear the script but she just wanted to start shooting. I don't make action films but women-centric films where the girl's role is pivotal to the story. All the boys and girls who have acted in my films have done well. Heyy Babyy! has grossed 100 in India in five weeks."

The shooting of Kambakht Ishq starts from January 2008 and the entire film will be shot in Los Angeles. "We will take nine actors from Hollywood studios in Kambakht Ishq and it will be an international love story on a big scale," Sajid signs off.

Recently, Mallika Sherawat and Katrina Kaif were the focus of all attention on the sets of their film

Welcome. There was always something or the other going wrong between them as the two leading ladies couldn't get along with each other at all.

The latest buzz is that Mallika did not see eye-to-eye with Katrina on the sets and even tried to ape her at every opportunity.

Our source from the unit tells us, "Mallika and Katrina just couldn't get along. Katrina used to greet Mallika often, but Mallika ignored Katrina. What shocked us was not that Katrina and Mallika were not on talking terms, but the fact that Mallika constantly copied Katrina's hairstyle and even clothes. One had to keep telling her that she should not copy Katrina because her role is different. It would have been very funny to look at two girls looking the same." When contacted, Katrina did not deny our story. She had a long laugh after hearing us out, and said, "I used to greet everybody on the sets. I can't talk to you more on this because I am hurrying for a shot."

When Mallika showed up for a special appearance on the sets of one of her films, she targeted Katrina by making fun of her British accent. She even hinted that Katrina owed her film roles to her Salman connection.

A few years ago, Mallika had reportedly said that she was ready to do any film if she was signed opposite Salman. Not only that, she even said that she was prepared to forego her remuneration too.

Speculation€™s been rife for a while about who will be the lucky leading man again in Rohan Sippy€™s next film. Everyone€™s guess was that Rohan€™s first choice will be buddy Abhishek Bachchan. But sadly, the grapevine gets thumbs down for their guessing games this time. Rohan€™s left us all stunned with his choice of casting, its none other than Bollywood€™s original Khiladi €" Akshay Kumar. Apparently Akki€™s been waiting for a great script to revisit his good €˜ol days of action once again. And he couldn€™t get a better chance than this. We€™re sure this must be a €˜kick-***€™ script right, Akshay?
