Shah Rukh, Hrithik… indulge in Sex, Lies & Videotape

Karan Johar's film with a conscience

Karan Johar is nurturing new talents these days. Tarun Mansukhani and Siddharth Malhotra are the two young directors who are all set to direct for Karan. He is also working on a script with the RANG DE BASANTI writer, Renzil D'Silva.

Coming to Karan's next directorial venture, which features Shah Rukh Khan, the script of the film is being written by Shibani Bhatija, who also wrote KABHI ALVIDA NA KEHNA. According to Karan, he is helping Shibani develop the script and the movie is likely to start early next year. Karan promises that, "It's a film with a conscience."

Payal wants to work with SRK!

Anurag Basu is one of the most talented and successful directors to have entered Bollywood post 2000. Who can forget the super success of MURDER, GANGSTER and recently METRO.

However, Basu is also present on the small screen and one of his TV serials, A LOVE STORY, is currently creating waves on SAB TV. The leading lady of the serial, Payal Sarkar, originally from Calcutta, has a fan following of her own, but who is she a fan of?

Well, recently Payal, revealed that she is a big fan of King Khan and saw his KUCH KUCH HOTA HAI countless times. She says that her biggest desire is to work with SRK and added that, 'Oh, I wish I had done either Rani or Kajol's role in KUCH KUCH HOTA HAI!'

SRK to produce Kunder's next

Shah Rukh Khan's Red Chillies Entertainment is likely to produce good friend Farah Khan's hubby's next film. According to sources, SRK and Red Chillies are looking into the possibility of producing Shishir Kunder's next directorial venture after Jaan-E-Man.

Kunder's Jaan-E-Man was a love story but his second film will have no trace of romance in it. It is supposed to be a sci-fi adventure. The film will have a lot of special effects and its treatment is planned on par with a Hollywood film. Apparently SRK has already heard the story and is extremely excited about it. It is believed that he was also quite impressed by the way Jaan-E-Man was made and definitely wants to work with Kunder. So if things go fine, good friend SRK will star in Kunder's next.

That's called friendship.

Shah Rukh Khan, the Badshah of Bollywood, is turning a superhero with Shirish Kunder's next sci-fi venture for which the extensive research work has already been started by the creative team. King Khan is likely to portray the character of a superhero who will be 'a gentleman extraordinaire' and will not be content with saving the damsels in distress but will also play a key role in environmental issues like global warming.

As a source reveals, ' Of late Shah Rukh has been talking about an extremely creative film. After much brainstorming he is working in tandem with Shrish Kunder for this film. The project will have lots of special effects and the treatment will be on par with a Hollywood film. The film will definitely have lavish production values, but it's difficult to estimate the exact cost at this point. The film will hit the floors next year.'

Considering the fact that superhero worshipping is going to stay in India after Hrithik Roshan's Krrish and Abhishek's upcoming ' Drona', Shah Rukh too has decided to ride the band wagon and is making every effort in the book to offer something better and special to the Indian public. As Rakesh Roshan has already announced that Hrithik will be fighting the demons within in the next installment of Krrish, Shah Rukh and Shrish Kunder want to do something beyond that to keep their film jara hat ke.

And to do something in that direction S R K is trying to up the quality of special effects at his VFX studio, which will be taking the responsibility of providing the special effects in the film. Recently, SRK had spoken highly about the special effects used in the film 300, based on Frank Miller's graphic novel about the Battle of Thermopylae (in 480 BC). Perhaps, King Khan is trying to do something like that in this upcoming superhero thriller.

It may be recalled, though Shrish Kunder's Jaan-e-man was not a very successful film from the box office point of view but it was highly appreciated for its stylish treatment and feel. He is Farah Khan's husband who is a very close friend of Shah Rukh and is also directing Shah Rukh starrer ' Om Shanti Om'. Before turning to direction, Shrish had made his mark as an editor in films like Armaan, Matrubhoomi, Main Hoon Na, Socha Na Tha, Waqt: The Race Against Time and Jaan-e-mann. The last one was written-edited and directed by him.

So, Hrihtik has competition not only from Abhishek but also from King Khan. Let us wait and watch!!
