There were many news which were doing buzz about that show.. One is the yonger maharana Pratap was offered the role of younger karna probably. And other is Gauhar Khan has been approached for the role of Karna's wife Vrushali.. Personally I find this show and role interesting, but fingers crossed till any confirmation is there.

After reading your views, I feel you're very much right. Doing Karan will be a very good opportunity to do many emotional scenes, since Karan was a guy who was humiliated inspite of being more talented than Arjun too. The emotional scenes in the last with Kunti will be so emotional and it'll provide lot of scope for Sid to sharpen his acting skills into the next level.
