Find out what Deepika Padukone doesn't want to wear
taniya talukdar,TNN | Nov 19, 2013, 03.11PM IST
Ram-Leela, the film was has been much talked about for it's storyline and the passion shown onscreen had its two actors
work etra hard on it. Deepika PAdukone and Ranveer Singh talk about the amount of hard work that each of them had to put in to get the character right for the film. While Ramveer had quite some time to work on it, Deepika joined the team only two weeks before the shoot schedule started. But, it was perhaps Deepika who had to do extra work, as apart from the body language and emoting, she also had to carry off heavy costumes and jewellery. The colourful ghagras that she was seen adorning in the film weighed 25 to 30 kgs which was designed by Anju Modi and Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Not only that, she also had to wear heavy jewellery, especially the earrings. On a recent visit to the city, the actress shared, "I will not be wearing earrings for a long time. I had to wear really heavy earrings for the film throughout the scheduled."

Deepika opposite Sushant in Paani?

We all know that Hrithik Roshan was replaced in Paani by Sushant Singh Rajput. However, the heroine for this Shekar Kapur film was not yet finalized. If rumour mills are to be believed, the hottest actress of B-town currently - Deepika Padukone, is being signed on for this big project.

What do you think of this pairing between the dimpled Deepika and the handsome Sushant?

Is Deepika Padukone the new Khan in Bollywood?

Deepika Padukone's Ram-Leela

Going by her box office status, there is no doubt about the fact that this B-town beauty can easily give the ruling Khans of Bollywood a run for their money

Deepika Padukone's latest release Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela has proved to a crowd puller and may well end up in the elite Rs 100 crore club sooner than later. Well, if it does then this would be Ms Padukone's fourth film this year to cross the century. Quite a record, hai na?

Well, then it wouldn't be an exaggeration if we said Deepika is the queen of Rs 100 crore club in Bollywood. So far Dippy's four films have released out of which three raked in Rs 100 crore. While Race 2 and Yeh Jaawani Hai Deewani entered the 100 crore club, Chennai Express went on to break 3 Idiots box office record and minted Rs 227 crore. With Sanjay Leela Bhansali's desi version of Romeo and Juliet getting cash registers ringing at the box office, we won't be surprised if Deepika strikes a century yet again. Now that's a huge milestone considering no actor (even Aamir Khan, Shahrukh Khan and Salman Khan) in Bollywood has delivered back-to-back four blockbusters in a year. Looks like Bollywood has found a new Khan, no?

That's not all; the dusky beauty has some great projects under her kitty including Farah Khan's Happy New Year. The babe will star alongside Shahrukh Khan for the third time and we are sure the two would create fireworks on the big screen this time too. For now all we can say is - way to go DP!Subscribe to me on YouTube

Homi Adajania sends out hysterical letter to cast of Deepika Padukone starrer Finding Fanny

Wednesday, Nov 20, 2013, 7:24 IST | Place: Mumbai | Agency: DNA

Homi Adajania gave letters to the cast and crew of his movie Finding Fanny, which stars Deepika Padukone, Arjun Kapoor, Naseeruddin Shah, Dimple Kapadia and Pankaj Kapur. But don't assume that he, like Sajid Khan, sent out letters promising the actors that the movie will hit the jackpot at the box-office. Whenever Sajid starts a film, he gives letters to his cast welcoming them to the biggest hit of their career.

Homi's letter to his team was a hilarious one. When asked about it, the director says, "It was a very hard shoot, which we knocked off in 41 days and it was only possible owing to an amazing bunch of people. So, I wrote a letter to thank them. But it's personal so it won't make sense to anyone apart from them... Besides it's full of profanity so you won't be able to print it."

Although he wasn't ready to share the contents, we managed to get our hands on it, thanks to a crew member who shared a copy with us after swearing it to secrecy. Reproduced below enjoy!! Goodbye and thank you, Parsi style!

To the CREW and CAST of Finding Fanny... Nov 15th 2013.
In these last 50-odd days, you could have done anything. You could have:
a) Trekked naked in stilettos to the South Pole.

b) Learned the complex art of living in oxymoronic bliss.

c) Stop the sun from setting.

d) Saved a little-known animal from extinction.

Instead you chose to get sun-f@#ked and flirt with melanoma, abandon loved ones who have probably abandoned you by now, forced fake smiles and formed dodgy friendships (Hmm... wonder who all?) you have no intention of continuing, played bitches to bosses who nuked your self-esteem out of existence.

All for the sake of Finding Fanny.

Just so you could send out a strong message that even mush-brained dysfunctional buffoons are also, apparently, people. People, who deserve 90 minutes of their own little bizarre story.

And all you guys got out of this was irreversible sunburn and a permanent hangover.

You intrepid little guerrillas, you gangsters of love, samurais of selflessness and ninjas of nonsense, words do not apparently fail me to describe how much I love you all for being a part of this.

If someone accidentally misplaced an obese Goan woman called Stefanie with a disastrous thyroid and dumpster-truck stomach, and we had to find that f@#king bitch one more time, I'd do it all over again but only with all of you.

Without even one of you I would never have ever found Fanny the way we did. With sweat and tears, but more importantly booze, some dodgy substances and lots of laughter.

Be happy and laugh loud always.

With more love, respect and gratitude than I can genuinely express.
X
Homi
The Director' of Finding Fanny
(In case any of you were wondering what the f@#k I was doing on set)
