Actor Arjun Bijlani, still popularly known as Mayank Sharma' fom StarOne's Miley Jab Hum Tum, shares with urlremoved his fitness mantras, and what he too does to keep in shape!
What does staying fit mean to you?
What fitness regime do you follow to keep in shape?
I have a personal trainer who guides me about all the routine exercises I am supposed to do, so firstly i follow all of that, and then ofcourse I eat right, eat healthy, and yes just obediently go according to what my diet requires me to do.
Going to the gym everyday is part of my daily routine now, which is ofcourse very important for me! Besides that, a few of us actors get together twice a week or whenever possible and indulge in a good soccer game which is great fun! According to me, a balance of working out at the gym as well as indulging in outdoor activities creates a good flexible body.
Sports like Swimming, Badminton and Squash help keep my body flexible,so yes I do play them quite often. Besides these, I also play a lot of table tennis whenever there is time, as I have a table tennis table in my building, which is very convenient.
Hit the gym everyday, eat right, eat healthy, and try to get atleast 7-8 hours of sleep which is very very important for the body!
Ofcourse it does! Infact food plays the most important part in keeping fit and healthy. It is 70% of the food, 20% exercise and 10% rest that forms an essential body! So even if you are going to extensively exercise, but eat a lot of junk food at the end of the day, that definitely wont work for you.
As of now I am on a strict diet so no roti or rice for me currently. Instead I eat a lot of brown organic rice, salads, grilled chicken or fish and eggs! Also, everything is always made in extra virgin olive oil, so no fried or oily food at all.
The girls usually believe in it and not the guys, as every girl now wants a model figure which is essentially size zero as the clothes you need to fit into are that size, but yes I have to say that this isn't healthy for sure! And according to me, every girl looks pretty just the way she is, and shouldn't be judged on her body type or style, as it does tend to happen now! So this Size Zero' concept is just a trend and man-made of course.
Hugh Jackman from Hollywood, and Aamir and ShahRukh Khan fromm Bollywood as they have lean bodies, which I am a fan off.
Everybody has a different body type so don't try and always just blindly follow what others are doing to maintain their body, but first consult a doctor or fitness trainer before indulging into anything hardcore to maintain your body. Also, eat right and healthy and just make sure to try and stretch your muscles in some way or the other everyday to remain in shape!
