Kulraj romances Jimmy Shergill
The TV actor makes her film debut with the Bollywood hero
After quitting television for Bollywood about six months ago, Kulraj Randhawa will be seen in a Punjabi film opposite actor Jimmy Shergil, titled 'Mannat'. The actor, who gained popularity with 'Kareena Kareena' ( Zee), had decided to give up television for celluloid dreams.
But why did she opt for a Punjabi film? "To face the camera for a film is quite different from that in television. So I decided to try my luck with a Punjabi film. The script and the cast are both interesting. I decided to give it my best shot," she says.
Talking about her experience while working with Jimmy , Kulraj confesses, "It was great to work with an experienced actor like Jimmy. Initially, I was a little apprehensive but he is a chilled out person. In fact, he was quite helpful and patient with me." The BAG film production is slated to release in June.
But looks like Kulrajs Bollywood dreams are also not far away. Shes shooting for Sanju Sharmas film Jaane Bhi Do Yaaron. "My co star is Kapil Sharma. I am excited about this comedy thriller," she admits.
Even though Kulraj claims that shes been flooded with film offers, she admits that coming from the television industry it becomes a little difficult to make a foray into Bollywood. "But a lot of it depends on the kind of work youve done on television and the visibility that you have enjoyed." The actor has also undergone a complete makeover. "My image in Kareena Kareena was simple. I have worked on myself and have got a glamorous look for Bollywood," she adds.
