Don music releases Aug 23. Music video to be shot
By IndiaFM News Bureau, August 3, 2006 - 04:43 IST

While everyone seems to be talking about the new 'Don' by Farhan Akhtar being a remake of the old classic, the reality is far from this. Says our source, "While the four principal characters of Amitabh, Zeenat, Pran and Helen feature in the contemporary version as well, the storyline is replete with unpredictable twists and turns that no one will be able to guess or imagine!" In fact, Ishaa Koppikar's character (Anita) was not even in the original and has been added to the new version.

Ehsaan-Shankar-Loy's soundtrack is likely to release around August 23 and guest tracks by DJ Randolf and Midival Punditz also form part of the much-awaited album. Also a promotional music video will soon be shot for the film.

ehsaan shankar and loy hav done grt work for kank , hope dor the same with don...............

Why Karan Johar shot the Abhishek Bachchan – Preity Zinta song
03rd Aug 2006 09.39 IST
By ApunKaChoice Bureau

There is a story doing the rounds about the song 'Where's the party tonight' in Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna which has Abhishek Bachchan and Preity Zinta hitting the dance floor.

Rumours are that Karan Johar apparently shot the song to appease Amitabh Bachchan , who expressed reservations after seeing the rushes of the film.

Bachchan felt that the film belongs to Shah Rukh Khan and Abhishek appears as mere second lead in the film.

Considering the growing popularity of Abhishek, Bachchan was a little peeved with the screen time, which Johar gave to his son.

Consequently, just to please the Bachchans, Johar recorded a special rock and roll song, 'Where's the party tonight', which doesn't feature SRK.

Rumors are that Bachchan was upset seeing SRK in each and every frame. After all, Abhishek is a very big star now and he has an image to protect. Abhishek is not doing any double hero projects and he agreed to do this film only because of his equation with Johar and SRK.

This is another story about the alleged war going on between Bachchan and SRK, there's nothing official about this war and the stars in question, Bachchan and SRK have always gone all out to deny it.

Now, Kareena Kapoor in KANK?
By IndiaFM News Bureau, August 4, 2006 - 06:24 IST

The most awaited film of the season Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna releases next Friday. We all are aware of its ensemble cast including Amitabh Bachchan, Shahrukh Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Preity Zinta, Rani Mukherjee. We are also aware of its additional starcast comprising of Kajol, John Abraham and Arjun Rampal too. Not to forget, we are also aware of the edited starcast that included Riteish Deshmukh for a scene which was subsequently chopped of at the editing table.

The list doesn't end here. Every week more names are getting added to the cast. The latest entrant supposedly is Kareena Kapoor. As per sources who have seen rushes of the film, Kareena Kapoor has a cameo and is paired opposite Arjun Rampal in the film. They play a couple who survived a failed marriage.

During Kal Ho Naa Ho, there were some differences between Karan Johar and Kareena Kapoor wherein she refused the role that subsequently went on to Preity Zinta. However, later on the duo buried their hatchet and off lately had also expressed their desire to work together. Their wish seems to have come true, quite fast.

However when we checked with sources at Dharma productions, they clearly denied Kareena's presence in the film. Well, all we can do now is wait and watch. And the wait is not that long either.

my view on the article:

i think this is a rumour.........karan wont picturise a song if the script doesnt need it......... & nbsp; & nbsp; the media person has no work thats why they r spreading this baseless rumour..since both srk and amitabh bachan denied that they r is war between them........

Don: Promo Watch

We have seen Shahrukh Khan in his regular romantic avatar repeatedly and have loved him in all those mushy movies. Now it's time to get a new slice of Shahrukh. Move over all the James Bonds and Indiana Jones of the world. Our desi Don is all set to take you on a thrilling ride this Diwali. Check out this exclusive 20-second teaser of the film premiering exclusively on IndiaFM.

As the frame opens to a hovering chopper, the slick and suave underworld king Shahrukh Khan makes an entry as the 'Don'. The Don exudes loads of attitude as he dons his glares and flashes his guns and gizmos. Whether flipping his cigarette buds or spinning his pistols, he does everything with style and that even includes bashing his enemies. There is an admiringly executed Arial stunt sequence where he gravitates down from a plane. The entire teaser focuses only on the lead protagonist of the film - Shahrukh Khan who plays the Don. The only one line that SRK mouths in the entire trailer is 'I am the king'. Seems like this Don will rule!
